A great continuation

I found the change of narrator, from book one to this, to be a little tricky to adjust to. By the half way point though I was fully engrossed in the story and loved the direction it has taken.
I knocked a star off the performance because the narrator isn’t my preferred style and found some of the descriptive narration to be a little dry.
I’m eagerly awaiting book three, I can’t wait to see where it goes!

A brilliant story!

I loved the film and until this week, I didn’t know it was based on a book. Not surprisingly, the book adds a lot more depth to the story and makes for a terrific listen.
A top notch performance and a cracking story, I’d absolutely recommended The Prestige.

Another great entry in the series

I enjoyed this title, it was a refreshing change to it’s predecessors. I knocked a star off the performance though, because I enjoyed the style of book 5 so much and have seen how that a very small change to the delivery can make a huge difference to how easy the stories are to follow. That’s not say the performance was poor, had I not heard book 5, I would have rated another 5 stars!

A really good format for this series!

The narrator does a fantastic job on this book, I really hope the style continues for whoever takes up the mantle next. In the previous books, it has been a little tricky to hear whether it is the internal or external voice and the narrator has differentiated the two and it makes it so much easier to follow.

A good listen

This was an interesting listen and I’m not sad I listened to it. I’m hoping that it brings more to future stories, at this point (40 minutes into book 5) if I were to do a series rerun I’m not sure I would re-listen to this title. As a stand-alone book, it was nice though.
