Historia
In The Genetic Lottery, Harden introduces listeners to the latest genetic science, dismantling dangerous ideas about racial superiority and challenging us to grapple with what equality really means in a world where people are born different. Weaving together personal stories with scientific evidence, Harden shows why our refusal to recognize the power of DNA perpetuates the myth of meritocracy, and argues that we must acknowledge the role of genetic luck if we are ever to create a fair society.

Good points with an inconsistent conclusion.
Revisado: 01-24-23
Has sound science, but the conclusion embraces much of what was lamented before and does it in a different compartmentalized manner. An ‘anti-‘ stance to justify a tall poppy syndrome.

Wright unveils the genetic strategies behind everything from our sexual preferences to our office politics - as well as their implications for our moral codes and public policies.

Goes beyond its limits
Revisado: 02-03-16
Mostly a good book, but it is not self-reflective when it gets to the free will vs determinism section: it says there is no free will, no place to give credit or blame, but gives goals to strive for - as if we could if we followed the author's conclusion in the book.

A much better book than I anticipated, dealing with themes that are not limited by time or culture.

Powerful and a warning

Extraordinarily well produced, and a stirring story reminding one to keep perspective and wary of unintended consequences from political and religious movements.

You think you know about Islam. But, did you know that Islam teaches that Muslims must wage war to impose Islamic law on non-Muslim states, or that American Muslim groups are engaged in a huge cover-up of Islamic doctrine? These and other "politically incorrect" facts are revealed by Robert Spencer in The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades).

Overall, a good book, but gives a brief note on atrocities by xtians during crusades when more could be said on them. Well sourced.

Rose-colored lenses
Revisado: 09-03-15
Good book, but apologetic with 'remembering how things were at the time' base. It's good to keep context, but not good to overlook/dismiss actions taken in the context.
