Unnecessary book - just get the Diabetes title
Revisado: 04-29-24
Cannot finish this. 7 chapters in and so far it keeps repeating "it's not your fault you're fat" and most people aren't going to get past that to understand despite genetics you still need to deal with the issue. Just get his Diabetes Code book. It's shorter and better explains why overweight and over-insulin are tied together and how to deal with the problem.

Being a writer is not just about typing. It's also about surviving the rollercoaster of the creative journey. Self-doubt, fear of failure, the need for validation, perfectionism, writer's block, comparisonitis, overwhelm, and much more. When you're going through these things, it can feel like you're alone. But actually, they are part of the creative process, and every author goes through them too.

Gentle, straightforward advice
Revisado: 09-27-23
No earth shattering, brand new ideas for this new writer, but I can use every piece of advice she gave to build my career as an author. Spoiler: write more and be a good person. Good book, worth reading. Narrator sounded like a big sister giving advice.

Historia
Who else wants their dream book written today? If you can speak out loud, then you have what it takes to become a lightning-fast, best-selling author. Most people dream of writing a book, but those manuscripts end up shoved away in dusty drawers, half-finished and abandoned to be eaten by moths. Many of them are great writers, many of them have great ideas. Yet so many people come to the conclusion that they'll never finish their books.

Dictation - it's all about dictation

This is not a book about writing. This is a pitch for dictating your book instead of writing it.

Not as good as book one
Revisado: 07-24-23
If you like helicopter moms, this book is for you. The character change in this book with Rachel for some reason being a whiny, obsessed with what her son is doing every minute of the day momzilla was jarring and a bit too much for me. I loved book one but am not sure I'd read/listen to a book three.

Slow to get me hooked but WOW what an ending!
Revisado: 07-01-23
I don't remember the last 4 hours of my drive. This sat in my library. I got it on sale even though I wasn't sure if I'd like it, the subject of outdoors survivalism has never interested me. Then I found myself actually disliking and being suspicious of a couple of characters, while quite liking a couple of others, and I had to keep going. I could imagine the story happening in real life and by the end I was all in, laughing, crying, cheering, sneering, and ready to go along on the next ride.
Well written, good character development, nicely paced, excellent ending.
Narrator was excellent with distinct voices to build the characters in my mind.

Historia
Felix Allsey is a travel writer with a keen eye for the paranormal, and he's carved out a unique, if only slightly lucrative, niche for himself in nonfiction; he writes travelogues of the country's most haunted places, after haunting them himself. When he convinces the owner of the infamous Rotterdam Mansion to let him stay on the premises for two weeks, he believes he's finally found the location that will bring him a best seller. Then things start going wrong: screams from upstairs, figures in the thresholds, and more than what should be in any basement.

Revisado: 04-25-23
The story was just OK - I didn't love it or hate it - I got through it. I wanted to read something from Lovecraft after hearing so much about the writing, and I thought the description would fit my interests, but not so much.

SO Good!!!
Revisado: 04-25-23
I absolutely loved this book and before I was a quarter of the way through I bought the rest of the series. Read them all - you won't be disappointed. I loved the way the protagonist was written - I found her completely believable. I know I'm skipping ahead but her development through the series is also believable. I appreciate that!!!
