I don't know if this book is good or now to be honest. The reader's voice didn't keep my attention and made all of the characters seem hokey and red-necked. Not gonna put my time into it. Sorry

This sorry has taken over my life today….

So I don’t normally like these multi-generational stories — but this took over my life and has had me shaken and in tears for several hours. It’s real, it’s messy, it’s relatable; it’s convicting, and it’s beautiful. I’m still crying.

It’s the Thornbirds, but with redemption.

A worthy listen

Some stories were better than others, but worth the listen!

We were eager to read Davy and the Mech because we love the Quest for Truth series. It's a good story, pretty much the same as David and Goliath but extremely high tech.

I enjoyed Saving Jangolin -- a good redemptive sci-fi story for tweens.

Good stories

Good stories.
Brock Eastman's story was relatively short, but good.
Other stories were interesting and fascinating.
One showed good teamwork, but please don't think it has a moral so you won't like it. If you're a kid.
One had alien species. Most were Christian-based. One was just barely, even though it had aliens in it.

Another good story with an unconvincing reader

I was so excited about the description of this story and paid cold hard cash to buy it! I actually really enjoyed the concept of the story, and I think I would have enjoyed the story a lot -- but the female character voices were so girly they just didn't convince me for the majority of the scenes. I was disappointed.

There were some twists in the plot that were surprisingly pleasant!

The mystery delivers -- just a few voices were off

I always like a good crime mystery and this story delivers. I enjoyed it for the most part. The only complaint I have that the actress who portrayed the teen aged girls did not really protray enough emotion (especially the fear and peril) to convince me.

A boring Bosch book

I love all the Bosch books and tend to get them all, but this one bored me. It lacked emotional impact and was a bit unbelievable at times. All of the books had their unbelievable moments, but in this book they left me unimpressed whereas usually the excitement of the story carries over.

Okay, but kind of disappointing

So I love the Thursday Next novels by Jasper Fford, and another reviewer said this would be entertaining in the same way.

It had it's funny ideas..... but nothing compared the brilliance of Jasper Fford. I missed quite a bit of the story because of falling alseep or getting distracted and did not feel inclined to go back and see what I missed.

A thrilling part of American history

Chester Nez is now well known in our household as I shared his stories at our dinner table to stop small boys from squabbling. The Navajo code helped win WW2 and it is sad that nobody knew about it for far too long. By the time the story was de-classified, it was too late for many of the Code Talkers. This story of Chester Nez, in his own words, according to his own memory, is entertaining and engaging. He is gone now but I am so thankful that his story was recorded.
