Great story, but predicatable

Total
4 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 04-30-09

I wouldn't miss anything by Lisa Scottoline, she's one of my favorites - however, this book felt more like a Mary Higgins-Clark story! There is none of the great drama revolving around strong women lawyers; the main character is, instead, a reporter and a mom. The book's outcome is easy to guess and leaves little to the imagination. Ultimately this is a sweet tale that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you feeling good, if a bit disappointed in Scottoline's storytelling.

A fast paced frolic on the high seas!

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 12-19-08

In the genre of telling the back-story to childhood classics this tale is tops! Ever wonder HOW Peter Pan came to be a flying boy? Or WHERE Tinkerbell came from? Or WHY Captain Hook despises Peter Pan? This is the first book in the brilliant trilogy by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson that answers these questions and more. The story is fun, inventive and fast-paced; taking you from the docks of London, to the storm-tossed highs seas to a far away island. Jim Dale's perfect narraration is as good as the award winning performances he gave in the Harry Potter series. This is, simply, one of the best audiobooks we own. When we have nothing else to listen to we grab this one - again! My two girls 9 and 10 never tire of hearing the adventures of Peter and Molly!

Wrong Narrator Listed!! Great reading!!!

Revisado: 07-04-08

This audiobook is read by John McDonoughn NOT Flo Gibson! This, however, was a pleasant surprise as McDonough is one of the best narrators of audiobooks around. His many voices and his reading of the story are pleasing to the ear. It feels as if your grandfather is reading it to you and is as much into the story as YOU are! I would highly recommend this version, especially if you are listening with a boy.

The Tenth Justice Audiolibro Por Brad Meltzer arte de portada

Unabridged, please!

Total
4 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 07-27-07

Brad Meltzer's stories are many-layered and complicated, and this story is no exception. The abrdged version can never do justice to all of the goings-on in this story and you are often left going, HUH? when the charcaters do something because of the un-skillful abridgement. Audible, you would do well to offer this book in the unabridged format! Overall I was left disappionted, because I LOVE Meltzer's stories especially Zero Game - one of the best ever!
