Historia
Near the end of World War II, thousands of Allied ex-POWs were abandoned to wander the war-torn Eastern Front. With no food, shelter, or supplies, they were an army of dying men. The Red Army had pushed the Nazis out of Russia. As they advanced across Poland, the prison camps of the Third Reich were discovered and liberated. In defiance of humanity, the freed Allied prisoners were discarded without aid.

A story who's time is due
Revisado: 04-25-16
With practiced precision the WWII Soviets once again turned a Victory into a stunning defeat. As the Potsdam agreement was being signed, all signers pledged to return prisoners of war to their home country. This included airmen who escaped damaged aircraft. The Soviets however were slow to uphold their part of the bargain. Hundreds of Allied airmen languished in their old camps with no heat, food, clothing nor transportation. The highest ranking officer assigned to hunting Allied airmen was a.Captain. This his story, so tightly covered up that it was barely brought to light.until he was on death's door, seep and then by his son. Brilliantly written.and narrated. it will hold your attention from the Get-go

Historia
Picking up a small, pink shoe from the grass forever changed young Jackson Lee’s life. Not only did its presence mean that his sister Tessa was dead - murdered and stuffed in the deep, black water of a narrow well - but the shoe itself told him so. Tessa’s death triggers an even more horrific family massacre that, combined with this new talent he neither wants nor can handle, throws Jack’s life into a tailspin. The years quickly take him from state homes to the streets to grifting in a seedy carnival, until he finally becomes the cynical All Seeing Eye, psychic-for-hire. At last, Jackson has left his troubled past behind and found a semblance of peace....

Historia
It is The Campus. Secretly created under the administration of President Jack Ryan, its sole purpose is to eliminate terrorists and those who protect them. Officially, it has no connection to the American government - a necessity in a time when those in power consider themselves above such arcane ideals as loyalty, justice, and right or wrong.

No Mission too Difficult, No Sacrifice too Great
Revisado: 12-16-10
I graduated from the War college in 1984. Full of piss and vinegar, I went to Korea. Enroute, I read Clancy's novel. Red October. I was uneasy the entire flight, that someone would discover I was reading classified information, so close was it to compartmentalized information I had obtained from the college. In Dead or Alive, I got the same feeling. "The Campus" a new below the horizon security and clandestine operations entity, is self funded. John Clark, Dingo Chavez, and Jack Ryan's son Jack Jr. combine their skills to keep the Jihadists from throwing our country into turmoil. In his particular style, Clancy takes on the U.S. intelligence community, by mostly ignoring them. If your heart isn't palpitating after the first chapter. You don't know anything about soldiering.

A 200 year leap back.
Revisado: 06-13-09
I found the Trail of the Red Butterfly gripping novel. The author has obviously invested years of research into the period and locale for this story. Though the book was written in English, enough of the local Indian dialects and Spanish are used to give the story a flavor of reality. The Southwestern U.S. of 1800 retained the primativeness of the previous thousand years. Indians still lived off the wandering bands of buffalo, wild game and food they could gather. Select a small band of Indians and send them on a 2000 mile circuitious quest to find a lost brother. and you will understand the terms bravery and brotherly love. Make this your next read.

Just Suppose . . .
Revisado: 06-07-09
Just suppose you woke up one morning and you weren't you? Oh you were still you, but there was another being inside making decisions, laughing when you wanted to cry, turning left when you wanted to go right, slowly taking control. You were a new host to an alien, as, by now, were most of the sentient beings on Earth. While you still had some strength, what would you do? How would you survive in order to escape? It's certinly worth two credits to find out!

Historia
The Brotherhoods is the chilling chronicle of the shocking crimes of NYPD detectives Stephen Caracappa and Louis Eppolito, notorious rogue cops convicted in April 2006 of the ultimate form of police corruption-shielding their acts behind their badges while they worked for the mob. Their crimes included participation in the murders of at least eight men, kidnapping, torture, and the betrayal of an entire generation of New York City detectives and federal agents

Blind Justice
Revisado: 06-07-09
This story is about two highly placed New York City police detectives who did more work for the Mafia than they did the Police. Theft, murder, spying on the police for the mafia, contract assassination, they did it all. One wonders who the bad guys are if these are supposed to be the good ones. The cop that broke the case was the co-author, Detective William Oldham. It took him fifteen years and well into his retirement to gather enough evidence for a conviction. An amazing tale which proves again that crime dooesn't pay (in the long run anyway)
