Historia
In the quiet of twilight, on an early autumn day, 26-year-old Elisa Vandersteel is killed while riding her bicycle along the Charles River. It appears she was struck by lightning - except the weather is perfectly clear, with not a cloud in sight. Dr. Kay Scarpetta, the Cambridge Forensic Center's director and chief, decides at the scene that this is no accidental act of God. Her investigation becomes complicated when she begins receiving a flurry of bizarre poems from an anonymous cyberbully who calls himself Tailend Charlie.

Historia
From New York Times best-selling author Marie Bostwick comes a beautiful novel of sisterhood lost and found - and of the ways we create the rich tapestries that encompass the past and the future. The economic downturn has hit New Bern, Connecticut, and Tessa Woodruff’s herbal apothecary shop, For the Love of Lavender, is suffering. So is her once-happy 34-year marriage to Lee. They’d given up everything to come back to New Bern from Boston and start their business, but now they’re wondering if they made the right decision.

Twisting fates
Revisado: 08-30-18
Wonderful continuation of a great story line did not expect some of the twists to the story but made it all the more a believable story of how life can knock you down only to build your life up in a stronger more stable relationship and place

Friendship
Revisado: 06-21-18
A wonderful story of how much friends become the threads of our life’s. Having had to part from one group of friends of whom most were quilters and move to a new town where I felt lost until I attended a quilt show one afternoon and became intertwined with a new bunch of quilters who were my new and dearest friends did I realize what these ladies mean to me . Now I stand at that doorstep again getting ready to move several states away not knowing who awaits but hoping for more quilters to become my friends

Marie Bostwick weaves the unforgettable story of four very different women whose paths cross, changing their lives forever. It’s a long way from Fort Worth, Texas, to New Bern, Connecticut, yet it only takes a day in the charming Yankee town to make Evelyn Dixon realize she’s found her new home. The abrupt end of her marriage was Evelyn’s wake-up call to get busy chasing her dream of opening a quilt shop. Finding a storefront is easy enough; starting a new life isn’t....

A wonderful story of life with all of it's peaks and valleys that we all find ourselves traveling thru. What a great way to explain how much friends mean to you in good times and the lowest of times. I am going to recommend this to several friends that have been through this awful disease and are just as ready to go on fighting for their future. Am looking forward to reading more by this author.

H ad never heard the story before found that it was very entertaining and quite informative. Enjoyed the short snippets of other authors at the beginning of each new chapter. The reader had a very pleasant voice, that was able to let you imagine the difference of each character.

Truly inspiring
Revisado: 07-24-17
A very inspiring story filling in so many things we hadn't known about each of the cast of characters. I would like to recommend that any new quilter read this book to better understand the importance of the meaning of the parts of quilting and the role that they play in the lives of the past and future generations who will enjoy the quilts they produce. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I have gotten so much pleasure from listening to them while I work on my own quilts.
