Predictable garbage

I was really enjoying this until about the last hour and a half when the writer lined up 17 sharks and tried to jump them all while flipping all of us readers off. The unrealistic, yet predictable wrap up was offensive enough to me to write a review. Just really disappointed after such a strong and fun start.

I enjoyed the humour. I really enjoyed the descent into MS as someone I am close to has experienced almost the same and the writer perfectly described what it is like with devastating detail.

Everything else was not great.

useful jumping off point

this book seems geared towards doctors rather than patients. I learned a lot though and have some new directions to take for self care. there's is a lot of very frank talk of very specific traumas that may be difficult for some to tolerate, but the information in this book is valuable enough to try in my opinion.

Great readers, okay story.

I loved the first series so much. The continuation has been a bit lackluster. I feel like the author is trying to hard to push a current political narrative into this series and while I am in support of his views it feels very heavy handed. I love some of the characters, especially Darren, but they all feel a bit flat compared to the character development we got in the first series. Overall I'm just barely interested enough to keep going.

Fun and funny rom com

I was not aware that Lisa Jewell had books that were not in the mystery genre and have been listening to every book of hers on here. This one took me by surprise. it was a fun, romantic, and at times hilarious, albeit predictable story. I enjoyed it very much.

This is my all-time favorite book. I have read my battered copies so many times. I have listened to this book 3 times now. The reader chooses some very strange voice acting for some of the characters and it takes you out of the story. I don't understand how it made it past editing. I would dearly love a redo.

fantastic readers and compelling story

I loved this story! the readers were excellent, there were some of the least likeable characters, I could not get enough and enjoyed every minute of this.
