This book resonated deeply with me, capturing the essence of its philosophy with simplicity and clarity. However, I found myself encountering repeated passages throughout, leaving me uncertain whether this was intentional within the book's structure or a flaw in the recording. Nonetheless, the recurring messages served as potent reminders, reinforcing the book's timeless wisdom. Classic Pema ❤️‍🩹

What a compelling story! So much history and attention to detail. I loved the author’s reading of his own written words. I felt like he was reading directly to me. This was such a pleasure to listen to.

I love JKZ. He is probably my favorite of all mindfulness teachers. And this book is an old favorite. BUT, the cheesy background music is overused throughout the recording and gets in the way. My humble opinion. Thank you.

Do not waste your credit!

I thought because I’ve read this book I would enjoy hearing it read to me (and by Toni Morrison, no less). Boy was I wrong! I was lost from the get-go. Toni Morrison’s beautiful lyrical writing is meant to be read. (The Bluest Eye is the exception. It “works” as an audiobook just fine. Use your credit on that instead.)
