Historia
Family defined the cultural identity of Prachi and her brother, Yush, connecting them to a larger Indian American community amid white suburbia. But their belonging was predicated on a powerful myth: the idea that Asian Americans, and Indian Americans in particular, have perfected the alchemy of middle-class life, raising tight-knit, high-achieving families that are immune to hardship. Molding oneself to fit this image often comes at a steep, but hidden, cost.

‘I am not done growing, I am just beginning’

Not Indian but American Indian and can totally relate to her story. Saddened as I read of her experiences but it’s a must read!

Absolutely not written by Spears but whoever the author was, it addressed a lot about her life…

Historia
You’ve read the headlines, but you don’t know Jamie Lynn Spears. The world first met Jamie Lynn as a child star, when it was her job to perform, both on set and for the press. She spent years escaping into different characters—on All That, Zoey 101, and even in the role as Britney’s kid sister. But as she grew up, faced a teen pregnancy, raised her daughter on her own, pursued a career, and learned to stand on her own two feet, the real Jamie Lynn started to take center stage - a raw, blemished, and imperfect woman, standing in her own power.

Not about Britney
Revisado: 08-28-22
She covers her family life in detail as part of her childhood. She also comes full circle in the final chapter but if you think this is capitalizing on a famous celeb sibling, you’ll be disappointed. I’m older than Jamie Lynn so there wasn’t nostalgia in reading her story, but I will say I’m astonished that she was so open about her growth as a human. It was a good story.
