Who were the real heretics?
Revisado: 09-25-24
I have been fascinated by the Cathars and loved the novel. I felt as though I was walking around in 13th century France. Is there an unbroken lineage of Mary Magdalene? Perhaps! It makes sense that gifts of the ancestors can be passed along through the centuries.

For five grand a month and a million-dollar chaser, Roger Mulligan didn't care how crazy the old geezer was. All he had to do was keep Joseph Perry Shackleford alive and keep him from squandering the estate for a year. But they didn't tell him about the pixies.

Sometimes people wake up and change for the better. This story is about a man who loses his way but comes home again and finally sees the goodness of the world around him. I also loved the donkeys. This is a great story for anyone who has struggled with alcohol addiction. There is a solution.

Heart warming story set in Scotland
Revisado: 07-01-23
A heart warming story of tragedy, healing, love and reunion. The author spins a tale that reveals how unusual family dynamics can lead to a happy and healthy existence. I loved the Scottish setting and the attention to detail. More than anything I agree that love always wins. Highly recommended.

I have been listening to one book in the series and then moving straight on to the next with great enthusiasm. The author creatively explores the lives of the Danes and those of “Angle-land” or England bringing life and love into their challenges. I highly recommend the series.

Historia
Tindr is handsome, kind, and the best hunter in 9th century Gotland. He possesses a deep empathy with animals, which powers his reverence towards the game he takes to survive. But he is also deaf, which closes him off from the society that surrounds him - and seemingly, from finding love. Devoted parents and friends can't protect young Tindr from the bully who taunts him, from jealousy that turns murderous, or from the threat of surrender to the allure of the Lady of the Forest, who might destroy him.

Tale of loyalty, danger and integrity
Revisado: 08-10-22
William Marshall is a role model for all who strive to be courageous members of society. It is not manipulation and greed that wins but the qualities of loyalty, courage and integrity. His relationship with wise queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, served him well. She saw a good and brave man in him. Again and again William Marshall chooses to face life head on, and each time he succeeds. A wonderfully researched, written and read historical novel.

This is a story about the slavery trade, but also about awakening out of horror of inhumanity to the possibility of true humanity. It s a tale of love, compassion and freedom. This is Philippa Gregory at her finest.
