Way, waaay too 'religious'. Spirituality is NOT religious by definition in contemporary use. There's a reason for that catchy self-description, "I'm spiritual, not religious". There's a distinction.

Also, I don't know if she's reading this martial outright as opposed to more of a presentation... But it sounds like she's taking to a 4 year old.

I picked this because I'd just watched a 2 part video series on YouTube where she was presenting with few (if any) notes and it was wonderful.

Perhaps this is really old and she's more adept now... I don't know.

But...

I'm seriously disappointed with this selection so back it goes.

What was that? And ad..? They made me download an ad thinking it was a promotional book! You know how the saying goes... Fool me once... If Amazon spent a fraction of what they spend on sneaky promos/packaging and lame podcasts and 10 minute meditations (all with the same cover), etc. ON THE PLAYER AND LIBRARY APPS... Then they'd really have something worth having.

Oh, the content? Pointless - it's just an ad.

I was really disappointed with this book. I don't know when they started calling plain old teams groups , but that's where it began.

I was looking for a book about encouraging engagement, cohesion, and participation in... Groups..

This is really nothing more than a run-of-the-mill book about team building and leadership. it started out well, somewhat interesting. And went downhill into lengthy descriptions of totally irrelevant teams/groups of the military and corporate variety.

If you can stand the boredom, there are a few interesting suggestions - not much more than tips and tricks.

I've had this in my library for some time but if it was still eligible I would certainly return it. If it was offered online given that title it's Something that is typically dismissed as 'clickbait'. In other words you click on it and it turns out to be nothing of what you wanted in the first place.

If you're looking for a decent book on team building productivity getting big results from teams and leadership then this isn't that bad... but you'd never know it from the cover.

this review was dictated to my phone and to be honest I can't be bothered to clean up the typos.

Good night and good luck!

Atrocious narration, useful advice - sad combo

Narrator sounds like a 17 year old 'valley girl' - who's idea was THAT? She downcast even sound natural! And in the first few chapters mispronounced words and even misread parts of Abrams that should have been edited later. Annoying as... Well you know!
Unfortunate for the author because the book is actually surprisingly good. It was recommended by my PFP who had read it and had some success. I'm looking forward to impotent many of the suggestions.
It's also well produced. I got the audiobook and was happy to find the downloadable. Pdf supplement - BUT - it's OVER 150 pages! Sorry if defeats the point of the audiobook.
Ultimately is being returned. I could probably get most of the content I'll use from her site or others online and it's modular by design so it wouldn't matter that it wouldn't be in a nice tidy package.
I don't think this book has the staying power that the accomplished and obviously well-meaning author deserves. Flash in the pan. (Contributed to greatly by this ridiculous juvenile narrator!!!)

Revised as follows:
I just went to start working with the .pdf supplement and realized the following:
1. It's a very poor copy. There's very low contrast which makes it hard enough to read but then it's also fuzzy or slightly pixilated. This is NOT a .doc file that has been converted to .pdf, it looks like it was printed and then scanned. Inexcusable in 2019 to produce such poor quality for your customers!
2. WORST OF ALL - there are NO figure numbers - no identifiers for the images and other individual reference items AT ALL! So it's really just a 150+ page dump that the reader will have to sort through.

And just like the way virtually all books are produced with unlabeled chapters that don't correspond in any way to the book chapters (another pet peeve), the narrator just says "refer to the supplement" and never gives even a page number. There are also no chapter numbers anywhere in the supplement.

INEXCUSABLE. This goes back immediately. I'll consider the Kindle version perhaps...

NOTE: More and more Kindle is a better alternative. One will have the entire, well-organized ebook to refer to and some Kindle books now come with text-to-speech built in. BUT, for those that don't, there are more and more TTS readers that one can use. It may require some copy and paste but that will be a better use of my time than this and more under my control.

Too much blatant 'funneling', not enough original, detailed, actionable content.

I don't see why I should have to pay to have you blatantly market your services to me at the end of every chapter.

Still... I wouldn't have minded if there had really been some substance here.

There isn't. Broad strokes, teasers, and high level instructions about something virtually every marketer already knows:lead generation with a free gift.

Who is *your* ideal client because this book is clearly trying to cover multiple audiences - take your own advice.

I like the program and principles. I'll go tough to your web site or try to catch a Webinar This book is 85% a waste of time and money.

Too many statistics recited -- it's almost as if it doesn't know what it wants to be, stories about the successful experiments or a quantitative report. Yes, it could be both - -but more artfully strung together.

And worse - I got curious and joined the online group run by the author and discovered that in order to "help" people in these experiments, they focused on the horrific details of their ailments instead of seeing the subject as a whole being with the intrinsic potential for total health and thriving... it's amazing to me that have any success.

I've known about Lynn McTaggart's work for a while and I respect what she's trying to accomplish.

I hope to discover that she turned that group over to someone else and will one day take it back and turn it around so that her book and her real-world actions as represented by this group are much better aligned

I'm returning the book unfinished
