As a writer myself, I've been a Bryson fan for a very long time. With wit and humor he opens up the British Isles to all Americans and gives us insight into the rest of the world as well as our own U.S. of A. As a survivor of Irish language school and as a bit of a world traveler myself, I've enjoyed just about every book he's ever written and hope for more. I especially love the books he reads himself!

Excellent! My suggestion: listen slowly; listen often. This is what the scriptures mean by the world turned upside down.

As usual, Peter Robinson serves up a technically brilliant story with a good twist to the ending. The best part of all his books are his well-developed characters, especially Detective Alan Banks, a humble every-man of a copper with a general thirst for knowledge and a strong moral compass. Although Banks may not think so, I find every moment of his investigations fascinating!

Sometimes little slow getting started , Peter Robinson's alliterative novels always end with a surprise. Definitely not your usual detective stories!

What made the experience of listening to Murder on the Orient Express the most enjoyable?

David Suchet as the Narrator. Not only is Suchet the best actor to ever portray Poirot, but his talent as a voice actor is incredible. I have heard him read this and other Agatha Christie works. In my opinion, he is one of the best readers in the business. His interpretations of the characters are always as I had imagined them and I never have any trouble telling which character is speaking. Listening to Suchet read Christie is a great pleasure and I would be interested to hear him read other authors too.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Well, the plot did not exactly keep me on the edge of my seat only because I have read this book before. But, it's a classic that I enjoy reading or listening to again and again. For me, it's less about who-done-it as much as it becomes how the perpetrator did it and how the detective figures it out. Does the author give the reader enough clues to figure it out or use too much omission for reader to ever catch on? Christie is a master of her art.
