An important addition to the series

This book, and the other two that make up the trilogy (so far?) serves up Hoodoo knowledge in a smart, easy to read package.

There aren’t a lot of authors that I trust for hoodoo, so when the authors I do trust put out a new book, it’s pretty much guaranteed that I’ll be picking up whatever they put out. Angelie Belard is definitely one of those authors.

This book, I do have to say is my favorite of the three, protection magic is so big, way bigger than the few books that are out there about it could possibly handle. I love that each spell has a “star” ingredient to learn about, so you can go on and work with it again.

A nice exploration of the shadow

Through the lesser known "dark" goddesses.

This is a pretty quick read, another walk through shadow work; but through the exploration of 10 goddesses that you might have heard of, but unless they relate to your personal practice, heritage, or area of study, you've never had the chance to look into further.

Beginner Green Witchery

Sometimes I go back to beginner books because you never know when one might surprise you and teach you something that another book missed... This book did that for me, a couple times.

For a beginner book, this one is quite thorough, well written, and easy to understand.

Again, I urge you to get the kindle or hard copy to go with the audio, so you can mark things you want to make a note of later. I always get both, if they're available, so I can listen while I do other things, then do notes later on when I have time to sit and write things out.

Great beginner book!

This is a great beginner book on working with crystals, well written, clear in descriptions and instruction.

I only have a small handful of crystals myself, and I've been inspired to take a look at some of the shops I have hoarded away for "some day" and have a little spree.

I'd definitely recommend buying the print book as well, to mark important passages that you'd like to go back to later.

Helped me put it all together

In my review for the kindle version of this book, I admitted that the numbers and math involved intimidated me so although I was interested, it was hard for me to work through it.

Having the audio to go along with the book helped immensely to get me from point to point with less trepidation. I may have a new respect for and obsession with numbers now.

Good (not quite) clean fun!

This is a great fun podcast, and I’m not just saying that because I used to be married to one of these guys. (the sane-er of the two, lol) The show has great potential to take off and grow from here.

If you like Last Podcast on the Left, The Dollup, or any shows similar, I think you’ll probably like this one, the tone of the comedy is similar, even though Shhh! isn’t a copy of either of those shows… it’s just two guys having a laugh, and putting it out there so the world can laugh with them.

The world needs more laughs, and Johnny and Anthony are happy to help out with that.
