Fun Murder Mystery!

I absolutely love when a book blends rom-com charm with a good old-fashioned murder mystery, and this one nailed that combo perfectly. It had just the right mix of humor, suspense, and quirky character dynamics to keep me hooked from start to finish. While I do think it could’ve been trimmed down a bit—some parts felt a little longer than necessary—I was never bored. The pacing kept things moving, and the dialogue had a fun, snappy rhythm that made it easy to breeze through.

The characters were especially delightful. Everyone felt well-drawn and distinct, and I found myself rooting for the whole crew, not just the main leads. Riley in particular is such a fun protagonist—smart, funny, and just messy enough to feel real. I’m really looking forward to seeing what kinds of shenanigans she and the gang get into in the rest of the series. Bring on the chaos and the clues!

Stalker Rom-Com

Let me just say that I had no idea what this book was about when I got the email asking if I wanted an ARC copy to read. I am so glad I said yes because I LOVED this book! It was everything my Butcher & Blackbird loving heart needed. I will say that after I read the first couple chapters and say that there would be an audio version, I immediately switched to the audiobook. I am so glad I did because the duet narrators were perfect!

I love a good stalker romance but I love that Josh is more of a golden retriever stalker. Scary sexy yet sweet at the same time. I am here for it! The spice was really good and I there were a couple times I laughed out loud! Definitely not a dark stalker romance like the title and cover would imply. Overall it was a fun and entertaining read. Oh! And I am gonna love any book that has a Gilmore Girls reference in it.

Love This Series!

This will be my third review saying it but I LOVE this series! I am so sad it is over because I love Hayden and her boys SO much!

I love that even though book two ended on a cliffhanger, this book picks up right where book two left off. Suspense right out the gate! Sticky situations abound, dragon shifting and FINALLY have Hayden bonding with the couple holdout mates which means we get a good amount of spice. If you can, I highly recommend the audio-books of this whole series. The 5 person cast brings the characters to life and is such a joy.

I enjoyed the flash forward epilogue and would totally love a book based solely off of what we learn in it because I feel that there is still so much I would love to learn about these characters.

Fresh Story!

I loved this book! The story was something new and fresh for me. I loved the idea and the banter and surprisingly enough I loved all the characters!

We got forced proximity, fake relationship, he falls first, slow burn, and hidden identity. All tropes I love in a story.

I am absolutely obsessed with the setting of this book being in the Yukon. The author set a beautiful picture. I would love more stories set in locales like this one.

A Fun, Quick Read!

This book was super enjoyable quick read! If you are a fan of shows like The Bachelor then you are gonna love this story!

Anika is a PA on a new TV show where the King of a small European country is looking for his queen in order to help save his people. When one of the contestants drops out at the last minute, Anika is “asked” to take her place.

The whole concept of this story was so fun. I loved the behind the scenes and the confessional interviews!

While most of the book is lovely and fun, check the trigger warners. There is one aspect that could be triggering even though the author handled it really well.

Another Great Tessa Hale Book!

I love this series soo much!

After the cliffhanger of the first book I am happy that this one picks up right where the first book left off. Like the first book, this one sucked me right in to the story and the characters and I couldn’t stop reading.

I enjoyed seeing the progression of Haydens relationship with her mates. As expected Cael and Knox are still my favorite dragons but seeing Hayden finally make more of a connection with Easton made me so happy. Who knows, maybe I will have a new favorite soon!

If you read and loved Twilight of Embers, then you are gonna love Midnight of Ashes as well. I don’t need to talk you into it. You already know that Tessa Hale is fantastic and so are her characters.

Classic Bully Romance

This is very much a classic enemies to lovers story and Vicious is the ultimate bully. If you like these tropes then you are gonna love this book!

The story goes back and forth from present day to the events from ten years ago that affected where the main characters ended up today.

Vicious is rude, mean and super arrogant. Emilia is sweet, artistic and caring. She takes the brunt of the poison that Vicious throws at her after he thinks she overheard something he didn’t want anyone to know. He makes her life miserable until she is forced to leave town and her bully behind. Or so she thought.

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t really anything groundbreaking, but enjoyable nonetheless. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Beautiful Story

Not gonna lie, I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did! Such a pleasant surprise. The start was a little rocky for me because I kept getting confused with all the characters and the jumping back and forth, but that quickly subsided into a heart wrenching story of family, love and loss. I don't always read blurbs all the way through and I never look at reviews before starting a book so I was going into this one pretty blind. I actually cried at a couple parts. I am not usually a book crier so it caught me off guard. The slow burn of the romance was the perfect pace and after the rocky start I found myself feeling all the feels and loving the characters and their story development.

Great Narrators!

I didn’t love this book as much as the first in the series. It was still really good but I think it was a tad longer than it needed to be. Overall I enjoyed it and will be listening to the next book soon.

Loved It!

Wow. I had no idea what this was about going into it but it ended up being another listen that I finished in a day. Oof. There is some spicy stuff in this listen and I am here for it! Narrators are great. The story is great and I can’t wait to listen to the next one!
