Not bad as backfill goes

Some of my favorite excerpts from the book got cut from the original, movie tie-in release of this audiobook production, and I was frankly rather furious that I had to buy this, and listen to them out of their proper sequence in the narrative. I understand that the Bradgelina engine wanted this to be entirely in support of their marketing plans, but this book deserved better, and we fans of the book deserve a genuinely unabridged release which contains ALL of the book sequences in their proper order, as the AUTHOR intended.
Get on that, won't you please, Audible?

When a spaceship landed in an open field in the quiet mill town of Sorrow Falls, Massachusetts, everyone realized humankind was not alone in the universe. With that realization everyone freaked out for a little while. Or almost everyone. The residents of Sorrow Falls took the news pretty well. This could have been due to a certain local quality of unflappability, or it could have been that in three years the ship did exactly nothing other than sit quietly in that field, and nobody understood the full extent of this nothing the ship was doing better than the people who lived right next door.

saw the twist a mile off, and toward the end I found the lead had grown a bit abrasive, but overall it was very well done for the genre.
