Historia
The Red Queen is old but the kings of the Broken Empire dread her like no other. For all her reign, she has fought the long war, contested in secret, against the powers that stand behind nations, for higher stakes than land or gold. Her greatest weapon is The Silent Sister - unseen by most and unspoken of by all. The Red Queen's grandson, Prince Jalan Kendeth - drinker, gambler, seducer of women - is one who can see The Silent Sister.

I had gotten used to the voices of the characters by the first narrator, new narrator, new voices. Took me a few hours but it will suffice.

Historia
Be bright but do not burn. Embrace the shadows but do not live in the darkness. Those are more than just words; they are truth revealed to only the bravest of souls, those who have the power to change the course of history and rewrite a future otherwise etched into Kingfall's flesh itself. But will good finally overcome the storm of evil brewing in the north? Or will the ancient invaders have their pound of flesh? The answers to these questions may surprise both heroes and villains alike.

Complete series.
Revisado: 10-28-24
As a compete series this book is mid tier. It was very good, first two were amazing, the third made me want to rip my hair out. The amount of whining and we’ll just straight up annoyance of the characters was enough to make me put the book down. I came back, soldiered on and I’m glad I did. The book loses some of its harder edges, it felt like a mature book, but the last two seemed like it was written for children. A nice happy ending for all of the players and no one is dies except for the ancillary characters. I enjoyed the catharsis of ending the series and knowing what happened to everyone I came to enjoy, but the ending wasn’t meaningful, it wasn’t fun, it was more just, “ahhh I’m glad that’s over.” Wish their was more hardship, and less, frivolity, like pio calling her dragon “big guy.” Like some Disney channel show. All in all a good book, but definitely not for the mature reader.

Historia
They say Black Dow's killed more men than winter and clawed his way to the throne of the North up a hill of skulls. The King of the Union, ever a jealous neighbor, is not about to stand smiling by while he claws his way any higher. The orders have been given, and the armies are toiling through the northern mud. Thousands of men are converging on a forgotten ring of stones, on a worthless hill, in an unimportant valley, and they've brought a lot of sharpened metal with them.

Can’t stop won’t stop, ive listened to five books in about a month. Don’t want it to end. I love this story, the writing, the narration. The first half of the first book is slow, then like an Avalanche down an eternal hill, the rest of the books are a whirlwind. A tornado inside a hurricane. Not since GOT have I had this much fun reading, and I will suggest this story trumps even that high mark.

Historia
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

I didn’t like the narration of this book at first but his voice slowly grew on me. The story is fantastic the whole way through. Certainly, one of the best books I’ve listened to in some time.

Short but absolutely fascinating.

Loved every second of this book. Heard this man on the higherside chats and immediately bought this book. In my podunk opinion, GOD is everything, the creator. Even the “aliens” believe in a creator. They’ve just manipulated what he’s provided. Cant over state how great this book was. Can’t wait for the second to come out

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

Really entertaining story.
Revisado: 01-13-21
The only caveat to this delightful audiobook is the narration. The writing certainly makes up for it but if I was reading a book in my own head, This is what it would’ve sounded like. Monotonous and dull in expressions, not bad, not good.
Still a great listen.
