It’s been a long time since I read a book so interesting, so moving, and laser-focused. Bateman proves herself a true philosopher by turning the issue over and over, examining it from every angle. The artistry of poetry and personal accounts serves up raw humanity so powerfully that I was stunned. It made me think. It made me feel. I love this book.
And Justine, thank you. For having the courage to be you. You give me courage to be me. I just started feeling chronically down about my age and my face. This book is just what I needed.
