Historia
It was like a fairy tale. A handsome misunderstood prince with more money than he knew what to do with, and he wanted her. A plain bookworm with a penchant for numbers. She should be happy, right? Then why couldn't she get that cocky grin out of her head and her heart?

Hot and steamy right away
Revisado: 08-23-19
I decided to give this book a shot as it was free on audible escape and also a quick listen. Right away it starts into the story with no real build up. Gets right to the point which is fun as you don’t get long drawn out chapters just to get to the point of the book. It threw me for a loop when there was wear wolves in the the mix. But I would have notice that if I read what the book was able. But I kind of liked not knowing what to expect as it’s a quick listen anyways. I really can’t say anything negative about the book. It was a well written and well narrated. It is very sexually detailed so if that’s not your thing then this is not a book for you.

Good story yet bad narrator
Revisado: 08-14-19
I just got done listening to this book. The story it’s self was good. I didn’t like how some of the names were so close to each other and it made it hard to keep track of who was who. More so since the narrator didn’t change voice from female to male and even character to character. The narrator was monotone most the time. At times there was some change but just was not enough to make the book good. I think if I would have read the book over listening to the book I would like it more. I will be reading the next book and not listening to it to make sure.
Also the book is very long for not much action yet I have a feeling it’s just setting up for the next book that will be more action and faster moving.

Historia
Fifteen-year-old Therese watches her parents die. While in a coma, she meets the twin sons of Hades-Hypnos (the god of sleep) and Thanatos (the god of death). She thinks she's manipulating a dream, not kissing the god of death and totally rocking his world. Than makes a deal with Hades and goes as a mortal to the Upperworld to try and win Therese's heart, but not all the gods are happy. Some give her gifts. Others try to kill her. The deal requires Therese to avenge the death of her parents.

Good intro to a twist in Greek mythology
Revisado: 07-09-19
I listened to this book while on a road trip. It was entertaining enough to get me through the 3 day trip but not enough to distract me. Therese is a 15 year old girl that loses her parents and then what she believes meets Than in her dreams. Only to find out while she was in a coma she really did meet him. The story has some really good “truths” in line with the Greek mythology but twists to keep it original to the author. Which was fun to listen to as there were a lot of Greek gods I didn’t recognize or remember who they were. So I got a recap of who they were and some modern personality add to it. I think the only negative I have to say about this book is I really feel like Therese doesn’t seem 15. Or at least the things she does is not what I feel a 15 year old would be doing. Overall I felt the story to have some low key love and adventure. And as the book goes on you can see the growth of the characters and more development of the story. You can tell that it’s not the only book in the series, that this is just the tip of the iceberg. I have moved on to the next book and already see more growth. So overall this was a good book, not my absolute favorite, but it was really good. It’s not quite what I typically read, but it was really a good change of pace and I was able to enjoy something different for a change. And it has opened up my options for more books similar to this.

Historia
While most 17-year-old American girls would refuse to let their parents marry them off to a stranger, Robyn Mason dreams of the mysterious McKale in Ireland, wondering how he'll look and imagining his Irish accent. Prearranged bindings are common for magical families like her own. However, when she travels to the whimsical Emerald Isle, she discovers that there's more to her betrothal and McKale's clan than she'd been led to believe. What starts as an obligatory pairing between Robyn and McKale morphs over time into something they both need.

Cute and entertaining!
Revisado: 06-28-19
I listened to this book as I was looking for something new to listen to and it was on the romance package. Within the first 15 minutes of the book I was already laughing out loud at times! I knew right there this was going to be a good book. I really enjoyed the story and it’s very cute romance. Nothing hot and steamy but good fun growing love. This is a sweet fun book that is set in a different world. There are some gender biases but really this is an ancient race and tradition and the main character is constantly butting up against it and challenging it. I can’t wait to read book 2.

Could not stop listening it was so good!!
Revisado: 06-22-19
I love reading but what makes a story/book even better is when you listen to the audiobook. Some narrators are OK and they don’t add much to the story. But some are GREAT and really pulls you in. Those books are so easy to just listen to it all day and get sucked into the story so much. That was the case for “The Healer and the Warrior” the story was really good. It starts off getting your attention and wanting you to learn more about the characters but doesn’t give you too much you feel like you know how the book is going to go. This is not a hot and steamy romance, but a sweet love that any normal person looks for. I loved how I felt like the story took place in the renaissance time period but still felt modern and relevant. Another plus is the main character showed growth in herself from being a village outcast and bullied to a strong independent woman who learned to pick her battles and stand up to herself and others who were also outcasted. The only negative I have to say is I wish there were more books. More about Zianya’s family, where she came from and then more about where their story goes. I feel like this could to be a series. Although it’s great on its own. And the narrator, OMG was fantastic I felt like each emotion and expression was justified in the narrator and I really felt like the voice matched the setting of person of the book.

So in love!
Revisado: 06-03-19
Never have I ever wanted to be in the book more than I have reading this book. All I want to do now is go to INK and become friends with everyone in this book. I want the tattoos from Spider and Ox. I want to pick the brain of Emmie on the next book I should read. And all the book related shirts need to be available to purchase as well. I just loved this book so much and I want so much more of the characters and I can not wait to read the next book. I really think Elizabeth Hunter is truly amazing with her characters, stories, and this book is now one of my favorite. Even though it’s hard to say that since I love all her books, there is just something about this one that makes me so sad I am not best friends with Emmie.
