Historia
My sister and I are human orphans raised by the world’s best assassin, taught to steal and kill our way through the dragonlands under her watchful eye. Grown men fear us, and no one knows we’re coming until it’s too late to run. Irena and I - we’re good. The best. In a dog-eat-dragon kind of world, we have to be. But someone betrayed us. Someone we trusted with our lives.

Slow story, sex driven
Revisado: 04-20-21
The main character wants to screw pretty much anyone she comes across. By the middle of the book she doesn't even have to talk to them before she's so on fire for everyone it's a painful joke. She keeps telling herself no one man will do it for her so she can jump from bed to bed. The narration was alright for the material they were given.

Well narrated but the story didn't hold me
Revisado: 01-27-21
I went into this hoping to love it and Marc Thompson did a great job with it. However the story itself just couldn't hold me and and the last quarter felt like a slog to get through.

Historia
Erik knew one thing after dropping in, when he first saw the numbers before his eyes, the rumors about the "cursed" were true. He was in another world. Survival wasn’t assured. Cultivate, get skills, grow abilities, or die. His old life, as a combat medic, had been hard, but he had learned some valuable lessons. And he wasn’t alone. His best friend, a marine recon sniper, like always, was right by his side. Could they figure out this fantasy world? What does it mean to ascend? How will they master the magic of this strange place?

Surprisingly awesome
Revisado: 05-13-19
Going into this I really wasn't expecting much. LitRPG is a fun category and I figured this would just be another fantasy book in the realm of rpgs. By the end of the book I couldn't stop. The way the systems are setup from mana to experience and levels was really well done and thought through. And the way it incorporated aspects of the real world into it felt very seemless and flowed so well.

Amazing story, could use another narrator
Revisado: 05-09-19
Christie Golden is an amazing author and I've loved every book I've picked up from her. However the narration left something to be desired. From all the sagas and all the epics Blizzard has put out you expect Arthas to have a rich commanding voice and that does not come through in her reading.

Amazing series!! Horrible cliffhanger
Revisado: 06-05-17
I've loved this entire series. The character development has been awesome and keeps building book after book.
I am so pissed off with the ending of this book. It built really well through the whole book and then.... ended.... I must have more!!!

Historia
In the first chapter, Jeff Olson introduces his readers to the idea that every single person on this planet has the potential to turn either into a poor, unsuccessful beach bum or into a successful entrepreneur with a huge balance in his bank account. He tells his own story - about how he went from failure to success to another failure, how he slowly learned that failure and success both happen for the same reason, and that this one single reason can work either for or against you, depending on how you use it.

Yes it's a summary, but it really didn't provide anything more then the jacket cover of the book. Wasn't helpful.

Vydor was on a fast track to the highest-ranking position in the Imperial Navy’s security forces and was recently assigned to the senior staff of the flagship of the Navy, the Dragon Claw. All he wanted to do his entire life was to serve his god, the Emperor, and given his phenomenal performance during his training in the Naval Academy, it seemed he would be able to do just that.

This is definitely in my top 3 Audible books. The story is very well done with the character development and really makes you feel for the characters. The narration is absolutely amazing. It really brought the book to life for me.
