When Bernie Sanders began his race for the presidency, it was considered by the political establishment and the media to be a "fringe" campaign, something not to be taken seriously. After all, he was just an independent senator from a small state with little name recognition. His campaign had no money, no political organization, and it was taking on the entire Democratic Party establishment. By the time Sanders' campaign came to a close, however, it was clear that the pundits had gotten it wrong.

Cut through the talking points

I’ve been curious about Bernie Sanders for awhile but was really disappointed in the inability to get past the talking points. Friends who have been supporters for many years were lacking in their ability to verbalize what it is that makes Bernie so unique and desirable as a candidate. This book has given me a much better insight on both his history and deeper platform explanations.

Perfect for a magical road trip

Partner and I were driving up to a campsite late at night, this kept us going. Kate McKinnon? Goddess. Cameos? Amazing. Costco references? Hell yes. Much laughter for a millennial generation? So long as you can take a joke.
