Historia
Miracles are happening. Pray to God they stop. In the dead of winter, on a highway in Quebec, a man crashes his car and survives. In New York, a homeless person is run over by a bus and lives. In Tokyo, a teenager jumps off a high rise building and fails in taking her own life. All over the world, miracles like these transpire, and people breathe a sigh of relief. But for the next week, some people will begin to suspect a terrible truth. A handful will even search for it. One man will find it. And in seven days, all hell will break loose.

Horrifying!
Revisado: 09-12-23
Expulsion by Angel Gelique, is a good Extreme Horror story.
William made his mother and everyone else around him experienced hell on earth, since his birth.
I couldn’t stop my listening to the atrocities, that William inflicted upon the unlucky souls that crossed his path.
I highly recommend it, if you’re looking for a gruesome, and nightmarish horror story.
This story isn’t for sensitive readers.

Blackwater by Michael McDowell is a very well written Saga.
I loved the story and the characters, even the despicable Mary-Love. A good story needs an awful villain. I’ll miss Elinor and all the Caskey Family.
The audiobook is very good!
I highly recommend it!

Historia
After watching his asthmatic daughter suffer in the foul city air, Theodore Constantine decides to get back to the land. When he and his wife search New England for the perfect nineteenth-century home, they find no township more charming, no countryside more idyllic than the farming village of Cornwall Coombe. Here they begin a new life: simple, pure, close to nature - and ultimately more terrifying than Manhattan’s darkest alley.

A perfectly written horror story!
Revisado: 01-26-23
In my opinion, a good horror story should be built on a good character development, a good plot, and a sinister atmosphere.
Harvest Home by Thomas Tryon is perfectly written. This is a very good one. The ending makes me want to kill certain characters. I’m furious!
What a good story.
I highly recommended it.

Historia
Gemma is the story of a child abduction written from two widely divergent points of view: 12 year-old Gemma and Hazen Wook, the 36-year-old man who abducts her. Hazen is a violent pedophile, a sexual obsessive, and Tilly does not white-wash or sanitize his thoughts in any way. This book is scary and not for the faint of heart.

Historia
Suburbia. Shady, tree-lined streets; well-tended lawns; and cozy homes. A nice, quiet place to grow up. Unless you are teenage Meg or her crippled sister, Susan. On a dead-end street, in the dark, damp basement of the Chandler house, Meg and Susan are left captive to the savage whims and rages of a distant aunt who is rapidly descending into madness. It is a madness that infects all three of her sons and finally the entire neighborhood. Only one troubled boy stands hesitantly between Meg and Susan and their cruel, torturous deaths.

Historia
You might as well know this going in: Lawrence Block's new novel is not for everyone. It's recounted in journal form by its protagonist, and begins when he walks into a roadhouse outside of Bakersfield, California, and walks out with a woman. And rapes and murders her. But, um, not in that order. Right. But it's what he does with the rest of his life that's really interesting....

I liked the writing style, the story. But I wish it was more brutal.
