Historia
The Two Towers is the second volume of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic saga, The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship has been forced to split up. Frodo and Sam must continue alone towards Mount Doom, where the One Ring must be destroyed. Meanwhile, at Helm’s Deep and Isengard, the first great battles of the War of the Ring take shape. In this splendid, unabridged audio production of Tolkien’s great work, all the inhabitants of a magical universe - hobbits, elves, and wizards - spring to life. Rob Inglis’ narration has been praised as a masterpiece of audio.

Great story, if you liked the movie you’ll like this!
Revisado: 04-20-25
I loved that it added more details to what I had seen in the movie. Explained things that hadn’t quite made sense in the movie. Narrator does a wonderful job!

Historia
This is one of Sir Walter Scott’s greatest adventures, set amongst the roaring battles of the struggle between the Normans and the Saxons for control of medieval England. It deals with the rivalry between King Richard the Lion-Heart and his brother, John. We follow the adventures, skirmishes and romances of the hero, Ivanhoe, a Saxon knight loyal to King Richard, as he attempts to survive the England of King John alongside the disguised Richard and, of course, Robin Hood.

Good classic action romance
Revisado: 07-20-24
This was a very interesting historic fiction tale. I liked the virtue of Rebecca and the strength and determination of Wilfred. It had all the parts of a good story. The only drawback was some of the more lengthy descriptions of landscape or a persons clothing. The descriptions weren’t that over done and if I just accepted them as part of the style of the writer and of his time period it was fine.

Historia
No one would accuse 11-year-old Caddie Woodlawn of being dainty and ladylike. In spite of her mother’s best efforts, Caddie is as wild as the wind, playing freely and rambunctiously with her two brothers in the Wisconsin backwoods. There are rafts to build and trees to climb and pranks to play. Caddie especially likes to watch her friend Indian John build birchbark canoes at the river. Every day seems wide with possibility - as wide as the frontier. But living on the edge of civilization has its risks, too....

Good classic story
Revisado: 08-18-23
This is a good classic story and the performance is very well done. If you like Little House on the Prairie you’ll like this story too. Only one or two possible scary parts for younger ages but they are not too bad. I would say a good age range is 7 or 8+

Cliched
Revisado: 06-21-19
I love Dr Dobson and his ministries. So I feel bad giving this book a less than glowing review. But I found this “practical advice” rather cliched and too common sense for a conservative Christian. The book pretty much just said “lead by example” and “beware of the culture” but didn’t really say how to actually carry it out. Unfortunately it taught me nothing new. I was hoping this would be more like the book “Raising a Modern Day.”
