Historia
Two days before Christmas 1996, the broken, battered body of Sophie Toscan du Plantier was found outside her vacation home in West Cork, a serene region on Ireland’s idyllic southern coast. Decades later, no one has been charged with the murder, but the aggrieved inhabitants of West Cork are convinced they know who did it - and he still lives among them.

West cork not corked

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes with reservations. THis is way over produced.
What did you like best about this story?
The story line is good.
What didn’t you like about Sam Bungey and Jennifer Forde ’s performance?
What I did not like was the over production. As an avid audiobook listener, I was quite irritated having to listen to the episode introduction and concluding credits after each "episode" Don't make another one like this using a television or Podcast format, it doesn't work for people used to listening to audio books on a long commute. Please use a book format with one intro and credits at the end. This format only really works if you release each episode piecemeal
Do you think West Cork needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
no - for above reasons
Any additional comments?
happy I got this for free, would have returned if I had paid for it.

Historia
Cloudland is a stunning literary thriller set in rural Vermont from the much-praised author of Nightswimmer and Clara's Heart. Once a major reporter for a national newspaper, Catherine Winslow has retreated to the Upper Valley of Vermont to write a household hints column. While out walking during an early spring thaw, Catherine discovers the body of a woman leaning against an apple tree near her house. From the corpse’s pink parka, Winslow recognizes her as the latest victim of a serial killer.

Cloudburst not Cloudland
Revisado: 05-22-12
What disappointed you about Cloudland?
over flowery descriptions, mispronounced words in descriptions, not meaty enough for a crime novel. Wrong narrator for the story.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Too many mispronounced words in descriptions
What didn’t you like about Eliza Foss’s performance?
Too many mispronounced words in descriptions, annoying bland performance - mechanical
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment in choice of this book. Especially after living in the "Upper Valley" not the "River Valley" as the author annoyingly refers it. overall a waste of listening time.
