Great punt return by juxtaposing Rap with Country
Revisado: 07-20-23
This is another excellent podcast by Matt Walsh. The whole rap music industry should be fed into a wood chipper. But maybe that would be too good for it.

If the answer is 42, this book has a good question
Revisado: 09-27-22
This books is very interesting and thought provoking. There is a bit of humor here, but not much of the slapstick, visual variety that you find in Three Men in a Boat or to a lesser extent Three Men on the Bummel. Mostly it is thought-provoking humor that will have you contemplating the meaning of life.
The last chapter is very good. At least I think so.

Historia
When Norm Macdonald, one of the greatest stand-up comics of all time, was approached to write a celebrity memoir, he flatly refused, calling the genre “one step below instruction manuals.” Norm then promptly took a two-year hiatus from stand-up comedy to live on a farm in northern Canada. When he emerged he had under his arm a manuscript, a genre-smashing book about comedy, tragedy, love, loss, war, and redemption. When asked if this was the celebrity memoir, Norm replied, “Call it anything you damn like.”

Very unique and funny. But a not exactly factual

Plus side of ledger - Comedic genius in bringing in the ghost writer and very good answering machine joke. Lol. And excellent spoofing of Dangerfield, Rickles and others that I'm not well versed enough to even recognize.
Main demerit for me - A little too much foul language and drug use references. But for some that is not a demerit?

The stories Told After Supper, related by the guests at a Christmas Eve party, are about ghosts and have all the wit and whimsy of Jerome K. Jerome's more famous works.

Excellent anti-ghost story
Revisado: 11-23-21
Jerome was one of the few authors of his day to scoff openly at the Spiritualist Movement. This story is an excellent spoof on the ghost stories that were churned out by the thousand that are for the most part rightly forgotten since they were never worth the paper they wasted. Save the trees!
Jerome's style is a bit sarcastic and ironic as always. But I like it anyway.

Historia
Master wit Mark Twain selected these 27 stories himself by 15 of his favorite 19th-century authors. The order follows that which Twain placed them in in the original anthology, published in 1888. He indulged his comic fancy rather than making a textbook in which all themes or authors are placed together, saying that "This way you will have to peruse the whole thing before discovering that one of your favorites is not included." Among others, you'll find: Artemus Ward, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Francis Lee Pratt, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Frederick W. Cozzens, and Twain himself.

Kind of a humor anthology
Revisado: 10-27-20
If you're looking for a collection of Mark Twain humor, know that this isn't solely Mark Twain's work. This is a collection of humorous works put together by him.
Be prepared to grow your vocabulary a bit, you'll likely need to look some words up. Also the time period is pre-Civil War. These are not criticisms; just so you know this isn't 20th century humor.
The narration is excellent in my opinion. The readers actually understand the material and give life to the characters and voices.
