Historia
When I lost my partner of eight years, I felt like my world was crashing down around me. In order to feel some relief from the overwhelming emptiness, I’ve found myself sending him texts every year on his birthday, even though I know he will never answer. That is, until someone responds to my text. Jace is charming, sweet, and everything I could ever want. But how can I accept someone new in my life when Daniel’s only been gone two years? Even so, Jace rewrites my entire world with every word and smile he gives me, and it’s becoming harder to not give in and hand him my heart.

Whelp that Kicked Me in the Feels
Revisado: 10-09-24
Well Alice, you totes kicked me in the feels. Well done. lol I love your writing. Normally you make me laugh the whole way through but this one actually made me cry. I’ve been married for 10 years and some of the similarities got me I guess. I still loved it and it still made me laugh. & I do recommend it. Being able to make someone cry without bringing down the tone of the story is impressive writing. It would have been really easy to make this story sad or depressing even with a happy ending. But instead you managed to convey the depth of loss and pain without doing that. So, well done! & thanks for another great book! 😊

Good
Revisado: 10-03-24
I like Sam Burns as an author & I found this to be a novel story with good romance and action / adventure. But I wish things were a little different. I wish there was more to the story. It was pretty novel/ unique, I hadn’t heard one like it and was interested to hear more about their world and the things going on there. Like the changes that occurred after. I really liked the young king and was interested in him having a happily ever after as well. I want him to have friends and not be alone. To be clear I am really grateful that the story was shorter rather than being filled with angst-y bs. I hate that in books and this doesn’t have very much of that which is great. I just like hearing about how everything has worked out well. It’s one of my favorite parts and I wish there had been more detail. Over all great job, good story, thanks for being an author! 😊

Revisado: 09-17-24
Great Job TJ Klune! I loved this book! It was beautiful! I’ve read the first one a bunch of times and love it! It’s one of my favorites. I was so glad to see you were publishing this sequel! & now that I’ve read it I am even more happy because of how excellent it is! I genuinely love these characters. They feel real. Their love feels real. Their family feels real. & what a beautiful message & so well delivered too! I think if these were the only two books you published you could be proud of your work as an author! That’s how good I they are!

For five grand a month and a million-dollar chaser, Roger Mulligan didn't care how crazy the old geezer was. All he had to do was keep Joseph Perry Shackleford alive and keep him from squandering the estate for a year. But they didn't tell him about the pixies.

Interesting & nice
Revisado: 09-14-24
I liked it. It’s a much more subdued story. Not a lot of adventure happens but it’s still a good story that hit all the marks of a good story. & it was soothing. Listening to him be soothed by his work soothed me too.
I hope the author publishes a sequel. It would be fun for the old guy to go on an adventure with his butler to save the butler or something. Maybe a little more overt magic. It would be fun if his friend and Barbara came too. Maybe they could give that item to the fairies. It would be fun to have him be happily buttling while maybe at risk of dying but still just loving it because it’s just so nice to not have to be in high stress situations and he just loves being a butler this guy.
It’s a good story because it’s about someone finding their place. Where they are happy and safe and fulfilled. Getting to a place where they can do self discovery and then realizing their life has just kind of fallen into place perfectly. That’s something most people would appreciate I think. Even if they might not all find this particular situation to be their dream. It’s nice hearing about others have it work out for them.

Historia
The fae prince caught my eye the moment I saw him, and no, it didn’t have anything to do with the fact that he was being abducted. It’s not even that Callisto adores the large mount who wants to maim him. Or that every time he smiles, flowers bloom around him. No, there’s something else that draws me to him, though when the kingdom begins to fall apart around us, I realize I’m not the only one who wants him.

This book was great!
Revisado: 09-06-24
I really liked this book! I’m definitely going to give it another listen right after I check to see if there are sequels and if there are listen to them first. I think I’ve decided I am a huge Alice Winters fan as well. I was putting this one off because audible kept recommending it but the cover looked like it was going to be about some happy idiot. Which fine. But sometimes I don’t want a story about how being born beautiful solves all your problems with a smile. & I was wrong. This story is not that. I’m not sure how to tell you about the story though. Alice Winters has written a bunch of books and after having read a handful of full or so I think I see the general broad strokes. So I can tell you about that without giving any of the story away. Alice winters writes gay fiction. Which is probably why you are here. Huzzah you found some. Unlike much gay fiction Alice winter’s doesn’t traumatize her audience because she is not a monster like that. Yay someone nice! Her two main characters are almost always the two main love interests. She likes funny situations and funny drama. Which keeps things light and fun! She likes minor twists that you don’t see coming! She gives you a fun adventure. Honestly her writing feels safe, comforting , and familiar without actually ever being familiar at all. If you haven’t read anything she’s written yet you are probably missing out on something you’ll love so give one of her books a chance!

Historia
In the country called One, dollmakers are vital members of the community. An artisan’s doll is the height of society’s accomplishments, while a guard’s doll is the only thing standing between the people of One and the Shod: vicious, cobbled monstrosities that will tear apart any structure—living or dead, inanimate or otherwise—to add to their horde. Apprentice Shean of Pearl is a brilliant dollmaker. With her clever dolls, she intends to outsmart and destroy the Shod, once and for all—a destiny she’s worked her whole life toward accomplishing.

I’m super impressed!
Revisado: 08-19-24
I believe that this is Lynn Buchanan’s first book. & I am really impressed! I like it a lot! There is a strong message of being true to yourself that I thought was conveyed really well. In the book they talk a fair amount about understanding yourself, why you want to do the things you want to do, and how to do it and be true to the person you want to be. But that’s just the message/moral which is great! But, beyond that she created a fascinating world upon which she could keep writing excellent stories like this one! I am very eager to see what else she will write! If you haven’t already I strongly recommend giving this book a try, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
I will definitely be re-listening to this book many more times. Why would you listen to a book you like only once? That seems crazy to me.
Sooooo, if one thing could have been better. Which there is like nothing to criticize here… when Shean made it to the village I was very surprised by what she was doing. At that point we’ve only seen Shean a couple of times. Admittedly she’s not exactly putting her best foot forward. But, freaking out is one thing. To actively do something that seems mean spirited was a surprise. It made me think worse of her without having gained an understanding of who she was. & I think another scene or two with Shean and master Nock might have been able to convey that Shean is bullish/hyper focused & not mean. Everyone will get it by the end & the story picks up so quickly that I don’t think it will be detrimental. But just something to keep in mind. We don’t know your characters yet. So, don’t let us get the wrong idea. You are clearly an excellent author so that may have been intentional but just wanted to mention it in case knowing how I was feeling in response to what you wrote/ how you wrote your story might help you in someway with your writing going forward. Again, I loved your book and will definitely be re-listening to it many more times. Thank you for the hard work you put into your book it shows 😊!

Revisado: 07-16-24
This was a good story and it has a relatively happy ending. But the whole time I was thinking about how much it sucked to be gay back then. & I couldn’t stop worrying that the world seems like it’s headed back in that same direction. So as a form of escapism this missed what I was hoping and looking for.

This is a favorite
Revisado: 07-09-24
I love this book specifically and this series in general! It’s one of my favorites and I’ve read the series a bunch of times and this book even more.
I love the idea that it’s rude to go up to someone and ask them what they have between their legs. Because it really is rude. When you think of it that way. But that’s basically how pronouns are.
Because of that in this story everyone gets to choose their pronouns, how they dress, and act. Without anything to conform to. You just get to be you and everyone accepts it without issue. There are a couple uncouth assholes but they are small parts.
In this story you follow prince Allen, high consort presumptive… well he’s supposed to be. No one mentioned to the high king that prince Allen was coming. So when he shows up and high king Sarrica meets him in court unexpectedly things, well they could have gone better. From there you get to watch them fall in love and rescue each other. It’s lovely from beginning to end.
I hope you give it a try & if you do that you love it as much as I do! Happy reading!
