Decent story, not so bright detectives
Revisado: 11-28-23
Second book in series and same cops are doing the same thing as they did in the first book, overlooking the obvious. Was understandable in the first story but makes them seem less than stellar in the second one when it follows exactly the same path. The narrator is too “whispery” at times. Overall good story but just wish the detectives were smarter. Jamie’s character is such a fighter that I wouldn’t stop listening because I wanted her to win!

Good story
Revisado: 12-13-22
This was a good story but didn’t like the heroine. She was so self absorbed I struggled to want her to win and definitely didn’t think Dylan should fall for her. Usually this author’s characters are very good. This one over did her independence to the point of annoyance. Nothing wrong with taking care of yourself or standing up for yourself but not always without any thought for others. Hope the next book in the series has a better female.

Thank you!
Revisado: 08-22-22
I found this book about a month after my mother passed away. She suffered from PPA. She was diagnosed about 4 years ago but we were unsure when it started because of other health issues she had. Our story with mama was different in most ways but similar in enough that I was moved to tears and heartbreak and had to stop listening for periods of time. Thank you Kimberly for sharing what you did so that other families of a person with PPA who read this know they are not alone in the experience. The sadness, feeling of loss, helplessness and inadequacy, the second guessing of whether you are doing what’s best are all normal and it was healing to know someone else felt it too. God winks are a wonderful way to look at the moments where she pops into your head. He is wonderful to bless us that way.
