I found myself fast forwarding through the entire book - hoping there would be an original plot twist. The characters were also very one dimensional- felt like a Hallmark movie without the fake snow.

The individual characters were compelling but the plot - especially the ending was trite and predictable. This overshadowed the overall writing and solid narration.

Incredibly similar to "The Last Mrs. Parrish"

If you could sum up The Wife Between Us in three words, what would they be?
I am a fan of the narrator Julia Whelan which is why I purchased the book, but I kept feeling that this story was just too familiar. There were a few good plot twists but overall it was a similar retelling of the rich controlling husband with the young naive bride. Found myself fast forwarding to hold my attention.
