Couldn't Agree More

I couldn't agree more with all the fantastic reviews for this book. I listened over 2 days and could have listened for many more. It really does feel like Whoopi pulled up a chair and shared the love she had for her mother and brother. You know how when your loved one is gone, but the stories keep them alive. THIS. Because of that, the stories were personal, but not a memoir. It was bits and pieces, and a little window in. A highly approachable book. I particularly love when she shares her Star Trek story. Whoopi is that rare kind of "tell it like it is " that I appreciate.

How neat it was to sit back and listen to the old characters come back to life. I really got in to this book and especially loved the "Big Bad". Would like very much to find more of this universe.

Exactly What Santa Ordered

I liked this book for its feel good Christmas spirit. Yes, the story was somewhat predictable. But it was just nice. The type of listen your pull up a good cup of cocoa for. I listened while I worked and found the story really easy to follow. I have to say, my favorite character was the Duchess, who had some very funny reactions to the main characters. If you want a literary masterpiece, look elsewhere. If you want a pick me up, feel good, get you in the spirit listen, that also reminds you of what it is to return to some of the more important aspects of family and the holidays, this might be the one you are looking for.
