My Life at a New Level

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Powers during physicals at our fire department. Our region had been hit hard by the fires of 2017 and again in 2019. The Community put a lot of trust in us as first responders and wanting us to help them prepare for the next Emergency. When I met Dr. Powers, I was at a very low point. I was tired, in pain, overworked and negative. I was looking to heal myself by meditation, working out, yoga or whatever the resiliency flavor of the day was. As I sat in the training room on the exam table, Dr. Powers came over to me and she was so relaxing and calm. She must have felt my pain because she asked all the right questions. At some point she put her hand on my heart and tears started to flow. Something we don’t show in the fire service. She had lost her home in the 2017 fires and it seemed like she was supposed to be there to help us. She had mentioned her book and talked about pain and healing. Once I was finished with the exam, I walked to my office and downloaded the audible version of the book. It made sense and now I have direction. I know how to begin to listen to my body, notice signs, relate color and enjoy the healing. I highly recommend this book for better health and well being. She starts at the core and works out, and ties it all back to the 5 elements. Also, I would recommend it as an audio book because she is the narrator and you can listen to her calming voice and she tells the stories with feeling and compassion.
