Historia
Ever since a man was found dead in Vera's teahouse, life has been good. For Vera that is. She’s surrounded by loved ones, her shop is bustling, and best of all, her son, Tilly, has a girlfriend! All thanks to Vera, because Tilly's girlfriend is none other than Officer Selena Gray. The very same Officer Gray that she had harassed while investigating the teahouse murder. Still, Vera wishes more dead bodies would pop up in her shop, but one mustn't be ungrateful, even if one is slightly...bored.

amazing narration
Revisado: 04-19-25
the narration was absolutely amazing! It really felt like their were three people reading this book!
narration aside book two lost some f it's magic that book one had. it was nice to read that the stakes were higher in novels two but the new characters were just sooo whiny. the only new characters that I actually liked were TJ and Robin and they had the least amount of screen time. I hope in book three she does more investigating and makes new friends that are less insecure and annoying.

Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

really good BUT ending was so dumb
Revisado: 03-01-25
the narration was good, the story was good but that ending. ugh just fell so flat. it was anti climatic, and just so stupid. like I really had high hopes for the ending, for some big reveal/ twist and it never happened.I give it a c-.

so dry
Revisado: 03-01-25
this book felt like a chore to read. it was so dry and boring. everything was predictable. the characters were bland. this book felt like eating a saltine cracker with no water. also this book IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN. I wish I would of known that before purchasing. save your credit and read something else.

Historia
Many of us know we're putting too much pressure on our kids - and on ourselves - but how do we get off this crazy train? We want our children to succeed, to be their best, and to do their best, but what if they are not on board? A few years ago, Ned Johnson and Bill Stixrud started noticing the same problem from different angles: even high-performing kids were coming to them acutely stressed and lacking any real motivation. Many complained that they had no real control over their lives.

ehh this book could of been cut in half, good message tho!
Revisado: 07-21-24
there's one major point to learn from this book. and that's to let you kids make informed decisions, it will create agency and confidence in your child. also of great examples in here just kinda long and boring after the main point is made. overall great message just shorten up if remake is made.

it was good but not as good as killers wife
Revisado: 07-18-24
it definitely wasn't as good as a killers wife but good nonetheless. the narration is amazing! and the twist at the end was pretty good. overall I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. it was slower than the first one.
