Historia
As a crumbling Galactic Republic falls to the relentless assault of a merciless foe, so begins the rise of an enigmatic emperor intent on saving a corrupt galaxy-spanning civilization from itself…and from something much darker that lies beyond the reaches of the known. Just as the reins of power fall into his iron-fisted grasp, an assassination attempt by a hidden cabal within his own inner circle jeopardizes every plan he has set in motion for his Dark Legion, his Imperial Navy, and his ultimate conquest of the stars. But the assassins have no idea who they're actually dealing with.

not a fan, extremely slow story
Revisado: 07-16-24
I had to fast forward through a lot of the book because the author just goes into detail about mundane unimportant stuff that doesn't build character doesn't add to the plot it's more of a tire some read that for me put me to sleep

Captain Jacob Brown knew something was up when the United Earth Navy sent two capital warships to their small outpost base. Nobody ever came out to Mosler Station unless they had to. Scout Team Obsidian was scheduled to stand down after two lengthy deployments, letting the team recuperate and rest, but leadership had other ideas. A prototype weapon system has been stolen from Earth, and Obsidian is being called up to track it down.

Historia
Andien Broxin has what she wanted: an opportunity to prove her worth through the rigorous and sometimes lethal Legion Selection. The daughter of a legionnaire, she knows what to expect. Legion Selection will test every fiber of her being, heaping on endless trials of pressure, stress, and pain. Most candidates quickly find their breaking points, while others are merely broken. looking forward to the real story
Revisado: 03-19-24
The performance was okay she's very good at the main characters voice but trying to do a male's voice it doesn't come off very good or convincing so it causes me to not stay focused on the story. I know it's just a personal thing but for me male readers seem to be able to do female voices more convincingly.

Historia
The daughter of a Legion war hero, fighting was in Andien Broxin's blood. But the battles Republic marines face on strange and alien worlds are a far cry from the vaunted, brutal, no-holds-barred conflicts fought at the edge of the galaxy by the elite legionnaires. Until a devastating war erupts right in the Republic’s stellar backyard. Newly stationed on a mid-core planet being harassed by terrorist revolutionaries, Andien and her fellow “hullbusters” find themselves right in the middle of a desperate fight for survival.

looking forward to getting into the full story
Revisado: 03-14-24
The story was a good story just had some slow moving parts in it The reader was good however for me personally I feel a female is not able to do a male's voice very well so it was distracting hearing the reader try and speak as a male and a military male who's trying to be tough, it took away from the story for me. I feel like an RC Bray or someone like that is able to do a female voice that is very convincing while still able to do male voices naturally.

Historia
The Aftermath of a stunning victory—especially an unexpected, complete, and final victory—should be high-fives all around, listening to politicians give boring congratulatory speeches, and a well-deserved rest for the Merry Band of Pirates. Yes, the galaxy is still a freakin' mess, but that is nothing new, and for a change, that can be someone else's problem. Until, you know, something really bad happens, and only the Pirates can deal with the problem... Or not.

The performance is awesome RC Bray is great as always, The story however gets sidetracked quite a bit on details that are not important that make the the story have lulls and I have to turn off my audible switch to music or comedy to wake myself up. but I do look forward to getting back in the car and hearing the rest of the story.
