I liked Constance and read it for irs novel premise. I thought it got bogged down in establishing details of the world it inhabited to the detriment of the story. No so Chance. The story is a hoot. I didn’t crack the mystery until shortly before the reveal and that was fun. The author gives a much better “feel” of the mind of a reanimated person. I found the prose jaunty and crackling. The trader was terrific and just as I avoid books with great authors but bad readers, I will now listen to books I dont care for if Mr. $$$$ is the reader. I didn’t give 5 stars to book because it’s obvioythe author is just warming up. I anticipate his next book will attain the Extraordinary 5stars. But until then, read this one. It’s better than the first and zips along at a jumpy pace. I won’t recap the story except to say a supporting character carries through from book one and may be our spirit guide through all the books, if only she can live to tell.

This is a great writer but the format and performance were so bad, I stopped it after 45 seconds. Mr. Greaney should insist that Jay Snyder is only person to read his books. Story sounded like fun but I would have thrown up if I had to listen 1 second longer. Now I have to go to trouble to return it. Life is so hard.

A really enjoyable suspense novel. Three thuggish kids end up holed in the house of a mysterious accountant. They find a box of money and take the house’s residents as hostages to try to keep the money. Zip discs, which some readers might not remember, play a part in the conclusion and make you long for a time when data could be physically held in your hand. The solution for the main character is believable. The book was published in 2001 but stands the test of time. It is still suspenseful and the characters are either likable or horrid, nice and clean.
A shout out for the narration . Perfect pacing, tone, and inflection. He was a big part in the enhancement of the story.Altogether a great audiobook.

Author would not have written the book had Trump not turned on him. Had Trump remained loyal, we would never have had this author whine about how he should have known better, blah, blah, blah. Reader is good because he manages not to sound like he pities himself despite the words. Yeah! for a reformed Trumper but Nay! for a man who still is wringing dollars from suckers like us who bought the book. Trump escapes again.

I’ve read all of Mr. Wolff books on Trump and this is my least favorite. I never felt that he embroidered the truth until this book. At times, his source seems to be stories from cable news rather than human sources. I prefer my dirt to be believable and this book just offers rehashes of tidbits I didn’t believe the first time I heard them. Mr. Wolff is better than this. Great reader, though.

Martin Kove is dead on perfect as the narrator of this sad tale. I remember photos of Mr. Kasem and wife #2 and thought of the folly of old men. No matter what they do in life, when they pass a certain age, ~65, they somehow think they are sexually desirable and I pitied Mr. Kashmir because I knew this weakness in all men had been used against him.

This is a typical legal procedural type story. Problem, the plot is so far fetched, you think it is a joke. when you realize its not a joke, the story is over and without a real plot, its really a bare bone frame to put words on a page and sell it. the reader is excellent and makes you think this is a book worth buying. its not.

1) Fantastic narrator.
2). HBO tried but can’t match the candlepower of this book. The bloody, crushed bodies are people with names. The scared guy who studied nuclear science is cowed into the fear of losing a tenuous middle class life and pushes the red button, has a name. The lady who dies because she stayed behind to make hand-sketched maps which the government wouldn’t supply, has a name. Real people died because government wanted to put on a fake infallible Broadway show called, “nationalism. Oh and by the way, we’ll just hose everything down, shut off the news and hide for 20 years until the truth gets out.

Do you like reading “true tales” of horror? This book is better than its hype. The readers adopt the absolutely perfect tone, speed and pitch. The book is typical of today’s news. You can’t believe it is true, but the evidence belies your doubt. The Kushners are certainly no JKRowling, who fell off Forbes List of Billionaires because she gave away her money to the needy. Rather this is a scary tale of young scions with too much money who want more and will use your hard earned cash that you pay in taxes to fund their next photo op in designer clothes. After all, this is the girl who promoted minimum wage as the pay that the average Josephine WANTS to work for....(And have taxes taken out of)

Good reader. Just right in tone and character. I read reviews of the print book. Like a movie trailer that shows all the best bits, so it is with this book. The reviews sounded like a whimsical take on a possible serial killer when it just turned into a dark tale of an angry family life where children are forced to side with one parent. That may not be the author’s intent, but that’s what mostly impressed on my psyche.
