Is was great
Revisado: 01-02-25
It took me a few chapters to get into this book. Going back and forth between Scarlett and Carly's stories, Different points in their lives. There is a twist and I did love that! I will not spoil it. The relatability between these women in real life is spot on. You have a college girl who really doesn't think highly of herself who shares a dorm room with the popular girl and sees firsthand the sexual abuse from frat boys and even professors. then you have the teacher point of view from Scarlett who seeks revenge. It's pretty great in the middle and the end was perfectly done. I gasped! I bit my tongue! and there was a few wth moments. loved it.

It said quarks...
Revisado: 07-21-24
Great book but it says that it talks about quarks and it barely said two sentences LOL. I was really trying to learn a little bit more than just acknowledging it.. overall it was great but it was stuff I already knew I was here for the quarks and did not get them. I also did not find the humor funny but it was cute.

Historia
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

After reading the first book I had to immediately start the second one. Just like the first one the very end is what you're waiting for! It is full of twists and turns and the ending is crazy! I cannot wait for a third I absolutely cannot wait!

Historia
When a trip into the forest to collect a rare mushroom goes horribly wrong, I find myself falling through a fairy portal and straight into the arms of the Unseelie Fae prince. The dangerously unhinged and handsome Unseelie Fae prince. What could be more horrible than that? He thinks I'm an assassin sent by the humans to kill him, not a biologist. Determined to kill me first and rid himself of the human he has unwillingly grown obsessed with, yet also needing to entertain his people, the villain challenges me to three deadly trials.

It's okay
Revisado: 11-10-23
I kept seeing rave reviews on TikTok so I decided to see what everyone was talking about. It started out really good. She's a scientist and then she falls into a fairy realm And then it gets fairly graphic. I wanted more lust. Once it started with the passion and the hesitance it just never achieved the goal of getting to that oh my god it's happening...
The ending is what has everybody throwing the book down and in shock and I thought that it was boring. It did not shock me. If a second one comes out I will read it because now I'm kinda of invested but in my opinion it's just kind of a normal mediocre read written by a novice writer.

As a botanist and professor of plant ecology, Robin Wall Kimmerer has spent a career learning how to ask questions of nature using the tools of science. As a Potawatomi woman, she learned from elders, family, and history that the Potawatomi, as well as a majority of other cultures indigenous to this land, consider plants and animals to be our oldest teachers.

Blown away until
Revisado: 08-25-22
As a horror fan this is not usually the type of book that I would read. I was head over heels in love with this book until I started hearing the word reciprocity one too many times. it was great I would completely recommend but it is way too long and the story just circles back around to the same thing over and over. I was glad it was finally over and I didn't have to hear the word reciprocity anymore. It's very well written and hearing the author speak was soothing for the ears.
