not worth the wait
Revisado: 06-07-21
do not read if you do not want some spoilers. this is your warning.....
I started reading the zombie rules story in 2017. I finished the entire series right around the time the previous book came out. I found the audiobooks on YouTube and saw that the new book had finally come out around 3 years later. so I went back and listened to the whole series again. the one thing I really dislike about this series, is that the author does a wonderful job of making you absolutely despise characters. when Julie and everyone are murdered, you can't wait for Zack to get revenge on them and you never get it. instead another character that you hate, gets the revenge for him. those bad characters that the author spends so much time making you despise, shouldn't just die in a quick easy painless death. they should suffer and know that they are dying so it makes it worth it. and so many times we don't get that vindication. and in this book Rachelle is that person. at least she kind of gets what's coming to her in a way that is vindicating compared to other deaths. but I almost said that I am done with this series forever until she was killed. if she had been in the next book I wouldn't have read it. I don't like that the zombies are now pretty much talking I think they have jumped the shark with this series. most zombie books start out with humans versus zombies and then eventually make their way to humans versus humans with zombies present. this has pretty much always been humans versus humans with zombies present. again the author doesn't give us much as that group that they stumble across, that kills two people and has that woman taped up, we don't even get to hear what happens to them besides a quick journal entry or quick discussion but no details whatsoever. I was disappointed that we had to wait 3 years for such a poor continuation of the story. I hope that the author comes back with one more book and wraps the story up for good. however the narrator as always does a great job. I would wait for it to come out on youtube. don't waste your money

what was the author thinking
Revisado: 05-08-21
spoilers will be in this. okay this is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to stories like this and I would love to speak to the author and ask him what the fuck he was thinking. you have an absolutely psychotic character like Sullivan. you build the entire story in this book about how psycho he is and I know that every single person reading despised him for what a sick psychopathy was and everyone was looking forward to him getting his. I mean I literally could not wait to see what sick ways the author was going to have him get his in return. and although yes he got his genitalia shot off, all of it happened at once he got shot a bunch of times and died. what a freaking lame death for such a sick individual. can you imagine how much better it would have been for Claire's man or Emma to just completely eviscerate him slowly. chop his thing off, chop his fingers off make him suffer. you can't build up an evil character like that and then give him a quick death. that's so lame like that makes me almost hate the entire story. it's pathetic. and then you give Alec a death where he's being eaten bit by bit little by little. but the freaking psycho dude that gets off on torturing people, gets shot a bunch of times and dies quick. I mean he did a pretty good job with Maggie in the other book although I think he could have done better with that also but that was probably one of the biggest disappointments I've ever read in a novel like this. the whole purpose in creating a character like that and making us hate him so much and continue reading to see him get what's coming to him, is to make him realize that he lost and make him beg and scream and suffer. there's so much that could have been done to him. what a huge awful disappointment that I seriously am not kidding when I say I wish I could contact the author and just ask what the hell he was thinking.

Too much Bible trash
Revisado: 05-04-21
I appreciate that most of the characters trash talk the Bible but I am so sick of constantly hearing Bible thumpers in the real world and people that buy into that garbage, I use these books as an escape and hearing constant people in this story preaching is just obnoxious. I realized that there's people like that in real life but the Bible story is fiction, I don't need to read another fiction book to hear about Bible trash. and all the talk of three and the trinity, reminded me too much of Adrian's undead diary. don't get me wrong this story is not bad. it was enjoyable enough and I'm going to probably listen to all of them but every single zombie story has to have some type of biblical cult or Bible thumpers and it's just annoying. I don't want to hear about that crap anymore than I already have to. it's bad enough that people actually believe that stuff to begin with in the real world I don't need my zombie stories to be filled with it too. but it's sad the story was enjoyable but now that I hear that they include the animals getting the virus and passing it along even if it's different and almost like rabies with them, I immediately stop reading any book on zombies that has the animals infecting people also. there is no way in hell that humanity would be able to even have a fighting chance for more than like, a week if animals could get it too. there's too many effin animals and it just takes away all the fun because as much as I can suspend disbelief, I just can't do it with the animals getting infected. no way. horrible addition and it's sad because everything else was going really good in this book and I liked it. and that ruined it for me.

excellent as usual
Revisado: 04-26-21
spoilers ahead.
excellent as usual. I'm not much into the god aspect as that's not my cup of tea. I guess I'm so disgusted at the people in real life that buy into the god delusion so it's hard for me to enjoy it in stories like this. real life religion is just as much fiction as this book but people trying to run the world with their dumb religions just makes me want to escape that crap when watching movies and reading books but it's done in a way that I still enjoyed this. I've read many many many many zombie books and this is def among the best I've read. spoilers again right now...... I'm glad he did kill picklehead quickly. I love when the deaths aren't quick for characters that authors make you hate. but I would have stretched it out even longer. I would have loved to see him tortured. shot in the shoulder, the leg, the crotch hand cut off then foot, just slowly tortured him to death. but besides that I loved it. I find it funny how every zombie series I read slowly moves from zombies vs humans to humans vs humans. pretty much all lose the zombies like 90-95%. I loved how flashbacks and reinfection has allowed there to be some zombies still. I'll be sad when I finish the last book because whenever I do, it ends up being a year or so before the next book comes out and I read another series or 2 and I completely forget what happened in this one. but I've found many of the old series I've read are on YouTube when many I read and didn't hear the audiobook. so I purchase it the first time and then 3-5 years later I listen to the book on YouTube so I don't have to spend 200 bucks or more to listen again when I've already bought them all. I'll def refresh before listening to the new ones. hopefully book 12 won't be too long but looks like book 11 just came out q few months ago. this narrator is one of the best I've heard as well. him and the guy who did the meg book 2 are my favs. great job all around.

book good. narrator... Not so much and that's when
Revisado: 10-24-18
I can't pinpoint exactly what the narrators voices sounds like. it sounds like SOMEONE I've heard before. and that's not a compliment. it was some kind of spoof whatever it was that he reminds me of. Someone talking ridiculous purposely. Like on Family Guy or Simpsons or something. he is quite possibly one of the worst narrators I've ever heard. he has Zero Charisma and while I appreciate him attempting to do different voices, they are all horrible. I listened to a couple guys that did all of the Meg books and they were fantastic. Especially the guy that did the trench. He did different accents and characters and really had a ton of personality and Charisma. But this guy, I cannot for the life of me understand how this guy gets paid to do this. I will never pay for any audio by him again. But the book series I really enjoy. I didn't really get into it during the first book. I was just bored but I'm hooked big time now. There are some grammar errors and spelling issues but I don't care. As long as I get the point of what he's trying to say. It's not a masterpiece, but it's very entertaining
