Shaking my head

This series has had me shaking my head, slapping my forehead and cussing at the characters the entire time. I think I did all but throw my reader against the wall. I should have stopped at Devotion but I'm a glutton for punishment. There are good parts to the book. Don't get me wrong. The love story is timeless and the suspense is killer when you want them to say the right thing or tell the truth or talk to one another in full sentences without the other interrupting and assuming. I'll say it again...Penny is a whiney, up in her head overthinker with an inferiority complex. By the time shes through thinking or remembering I'd forget what was going on on the story. AND...she did a lot of remembering. On other words, pages and pages of stuff I've already read on top of a chapter from a children's book that she reads to her daughter. To tell you the truth I wish I hadn't even started this series but I always finish what I start.

HORRIBLE ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ivy Smoak, you have frustrated me beyond belief!! The book was great. I gave you 4 and 5 stars but OH MY GOD you are terrible with endings. I'm so mad right now I want to tell you that I'll never read another book of yours again but darn it I have to find out what happened. So off to the next book I go. Girl it better be good!

Much, Much Better

Ok this one was hard to put down. It was a page turner from the start to the finish. SUSPENSE.... OMG!!! The passion, the emotion, everything was great. Penny is still the little naive overthinker but it's endearing. I will be honest. I struggled to get through the other books to this one but it was well worth it. Enjoy!

if this book were a hard copy book , I'd throw it against a wall! Penny is the weakest woman I believe I've ever read about. She has no and I mean no common sense. I just don't know if I have the patience to listen to the next book.

It got a lot better

Yes I went on to the second book despite almost not finishing the first. Penny wasn't as fickle and stupid in this one. Although I kept expecting her to screw up. She's just doesn't seem to be a very strong character. She's an obsessive overthinker and it is so frustrating. Now...on to the next book!! Because I'm totally crushing on Professor Hunter!!
