Excellent book
Revisado: 02-05-22
I enjoyed this book immensely ! I didn’t even mind Ferrin being repeatedly caught by the white tower. The book is full of intrigue, magic, monsters & pure adventure. There definitely must be more additions to this series because the story is not even close to being complete & I want to know much more about the “coming darkness”. There are some who complain about the length of the book, but to me it was just right. Short books leave me unsatisfied & sorry when a good story ends. I look forward to more books by the author. The narrator was exceptional as in the other books & enhanced the story significantly with the many colors of his voices. I highly recommend this book.

Excellent book !
Revisado: 01-24-22
This 2nd book in the series was just as enjoyable as book one. Plenty of action, magic, intrigue, complicated relationships , battles ,horrific creatures , accidental & intentional heroes, etc. Ty continues to be reckless, immature & his own worse enemy, making poor decisions @ every corner. However his building powers have the potential to be the hope or destruction of the world’s inhabitants. Fight scenes are just as graphic as in the first book, so readers who have weak stomachs beware. All the characters are well developed, except for the curious night walker, whose background story has not been fully fleshed out yet. You will become very invested in the characters & either love or hate them depending on the side they are on. The narrator is excellent & has so many voices in his repertoire, that every character has its own very distinctive sound. His skills bring great depth to the story. I am loving the series & highly recommend it. On my way to book 3!!

Thoroughly enjoyable
Revisado: 01-19-22
I really enjoyed this book. It kept my interest so thoroughly that I was done & wanting more in 1 1/2 days. It reminds me of the books I have read by Robert Jordon & Brandon Sanderson ; who are 2 of my fav writers. The characters are well thought out, descriptions of the environment are well done, the drama, intrigue, nail biting events & the good people you want to like & the evil ones you want to hate; are some of the things that make the book enjoyable. Ty got on my nerves with his immaturity, impulsiveness & his inability to keep his mouth shut @ critical moments. However he is a 16 year old & those behaviors often come with the territory. It’s a great book, but if you are adverse to graphic violence/ torture I give you fair warning that there is a lot of it in this book. Im not getting technical with this review because I don’t feel it’s necessary. The occasional contradiction, the plethora of names are small things in comparison to the excitement & pleasure of reading / listening to this book. I highly recommend it.

Good story. But expensive for its short duration.
Revisado: 05-22-21
Very engaging story, with good character development. I finished this story in a few hours & as such it was way too short for me. The length of this book is far too short to require 1 credit or $4.99 for the kindle version plus $7.49 for audible narration. If anything the audible narration should have been no more than $1.99 & the kindle version <=$2.99. Otherwise I enjoyed the story & it kept me engaged from beginning to end. I would have enjoyed it much more if there weren’t so many inconsistencies in the story line, repetition when describing thoughts & or feelings & grammar errors. However the errors, etc were not enough to make me stop reading, what is otherwise a good story.

Luv this book
Revisado: 11-25-20
Finally a book from this author that was @ least 25 hours. The very small 8-10 hour books are too short & im done with them in half a day!! Although this one was 3 books in one , It at least kept me entertained for a few days. The book was a breath of fresh air, all because if my fav characters ( The big & small kitty cats). The best descriptionsI can give for them are: curious, always hungry, endearing. talkative, heroic, kind, loyal, loving ,intelligent ,not subtle & cuteness overload with fur!!! They elevate the book to another level. I hope the author will deal with the origins of the cat kingdom, how & why the 2 cats arrived in the human kingdom & exactly who these brave felines are. I’m sure there is much more to them, than what is currently apparent. I really enjoyed the book & I reccomend it.

Fantastic book!!
Revisado: 11-18-20
I didn’t think I would be compelled to read the whole series, but after reading & hearing the first few books, I must go on. The book was engaging from beginning to end. The two cats are so endearing I can’t get enough of them. They are hands down, my favorite characters. This book contained all the elements of a great sci-fi series. For me, it was a breath of fresh air, despite the violence, evil, etc that is common in this genre. I found myself excited, fearful, angry, suspicious, relieved, happy, intrigued, lol often, saying awww a lot & being on the edge of my seat waiting for an event to come to its conclusion. I completely enjoyed this book & im about to sign off & start the next book in the series. I recommend this book without hesitation!!

A good read, but it’s very short
Revisado: 11-04-20
The plot of this second book in the series was more polished than the first book. I enjoyed this a great deal, but am a bit annoyed that the book is so short. I completed the book in one day & im hungry for more. I normally don’t purchase audible books that are only a few hours in length like this & the other books in the series. However, it was a good read & I recommend it the story.

A disturbing look @ family dysfunction, but a great read
Revisado: 10-01-20
The book was extremely engaging from the beginning. It is a book that will put you on an emotional roller coaster, producing tears, smiles, fear triumph, etc. it’s a picture of a family in turmoil, full of violence, terror, but also the solidarity between siblings.; Futures dreamed of & futures destroyed. The only negative I can find is what I perceived to be an incomplete ending, that left me waiting for more. Otherwise this is a book, that I highly recommend.

A page turner that keeps your attention from beginning to end. Full of all the injustices a people can go through in the era the book portrays. Yet to unlikely souls were tied together & that tie followed them throughout their lives, & ends in a partial fairytale ending. I highly recommend this book.
