Historia
For some it’s an opportunity. For others it’s a moment to question their faith: In God, in science, in everything. Still others try to keep the world running in the face of absurdity and uncertainty. And then there are the billions looking to the sky and wondering how a thing that was always just there is now... something absolutely impossible.

Absurdly runs the gamut between satire and science well almost science
Revisado: 03-28-25
The perspective of people trying to wrap their heads around a cheese moon is both hilarious and terrifying. The bankers looking for ways to profit from the end of the world, people looking for closure of their lives, wonderful nature of people especially in these times and a few good at the space monkey. Thanks John it was most enjoyable like always

Couldn't be better!!!
Revisado: 04-01-21
The story is brought to life by the thoughts and actions of Kip the human smart dog and Woody the brilliant but autistic boy. Throw in a little danger with killer elite squads, genetic monster overdrive and the craven power of a mega-rich industrialist and the you get a riveting tale

Historia
If Indiana Jones lived in the X-Files era, he might bear at least a passing resemblance to Nolan Moore - a rogue archaeologist hosting a documentary series derisively dismissed by the "real" experts, but beloved by conspiracy theorists. Nolan sets out to retrace the steps of an explorer from 1909 who claimed to have discovered a mysterious cavern high up in the ancient rock of the Grand Canyon. And, for once, he may have actually found what he seeks. Then the trip takes a nasty turn, and the cave begins turning against them in mysterious ways.

Victor series just keeps getting better and better
Revisado: 04-24-15
What made the experience of listening to No Tomorrow the most enjoyable?
The conflicting moral issues between Victor and Giselle and how he develops respect and concern for someone who has a completely opposite set of principles.
Have you listened to any of Rob Shapiro’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Rob Shapiro is brilliant as narrator. Perfect tone and accents make it so easy to distinguish characters without having to be told who they are. Wonderful
Any additional comments?
Tom Wood knows how to end a story. It not only ties loose ends together but it's done in such a clever way that it would be great if other authors could learn to do it. Just love this series.

Way over the top and repetitive
Revisado: 03-08-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Not really. While the book starts out as a real action thriller with excellent dialogue it devolves into stereotype behavior that keeps repeating the action over and over again.
Would you recommend Dead Six to your friends? Why or why not?
No.
Any additional comments?
Finished it but would have preferred a different ending.

Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

A true story set in hard times with a wonderfully descriptive background of the 30's and 40's. Beautifully written. You become involved with each of the characters and their trials and amazing achievements. Really sad when I realized they had all died.

Not a great King book just ok
Revisado: 12-04-14
What did you like best about Revival? What did you like least?
The intrigue concerning the Reverand's obsession with electricity and what would be the end result. Unfortunately this is not well developed throughout the story. Too much is spent on unimportant events that really do not impact the story.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The expectation that something really interesting was about to happen at some point with the special electricity. But the ending is really anticlimatic although rather disturbing. I'm not sure if King was trying to say that one's obsession will destroy you or don't venture to deep into areas you are not supposed to.
Which scene was your favorite?
The opening scene with Jamie playing with the soldiers and the Reverend engaging him with conversation about war strategy in a non-condescending way. Very charming.
Could you see Revival being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
It should not be made into a movie period.
Any additional comments?
The story is way too long and not very cohesive. Often I was wondering when something would happen.

It's what makes humans unique
Revisado: 10-16-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely wonderful story about the human spirit and the forces that attempt to crush it.
What other book might you compare Spark to and why?
Fahrenheit 451. The breaking from conforming to the code of the fire man to one of supporting those who cherish books.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Underwood decides that Emily is now his center of his circle and must save her
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
At the end of the book when Emily is about to leave with Sean she hugs him and he in turn hugs her.
Any additional comments?
John Twelve Hawks has the ability to intertwine messages of humanity and freedom in a brilliant story that is written which such depth of character and situations. Absolutely loved every minute. Hope there is more to come.

Historia
“Dirk Pitt is oceanography’s answer to Indiana Jones”, praises the Associated Press. “Exotic locations, ruthless villains and many narrow escapes - Cussler’s fans come for swashbuckling [and] he delivers”. And now Pitt’s back to find a crucial piece of marine tech that could reshape the United States’ defense program. It is the greatest advance in American defense technology in decades - an attack submarine capable of incredible underwater speeds. There is only one problem: A key element of the prototype is missing - and the man who developed it is dead.

Repetitive and annoying
Revisado: 06-08-14
What would have made Poseidon's Arrow better?
Stop with them being captured all the time. Absurd situations that are filler rather than continue the story line. I think a third of the book could have been cut.
Has Poseidon's Arrow turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Scott is always excellent.
What character would you cut from Poseidon's Arrow?
Ann was supposed to be a strong character but was actually very weak.
Any additional comments?
It starts off very good but rapidly declines as things don't make sense and the dialogue is very qeak

Revisado: 10-06-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would not recommend this book because the author did not write a plausible conclusion to the story.
What was most disappointing about Ben Coes’s story?
Mission impossible style to the conclusion which really disappoints.
