Historia
Ruth Jefferson is a labor and delivery nurse at a Connecticut hospital with more than 20 years’ experience. During her shift, Ruth begins a routine checkup on a newborn, only to be told a few minutes later that she’s been reassigned to another patient. The parents are white supremacists and don’t want Ruth, who is African American, to touch their child. The hospital complies with their request, but the next day, the baby goes into cardiac distress while Ruth is alone in the nursery. Does she obey orders or does she intervene?

Real raw story telling from every side

I found myself expressing myself out loud LOUDLY quite often while reading this book. The author did an excellent job allowing us to hear the heart and thoughts of each character

Makes a lot more sense
Revisado: 05-21-23
For years I’ve heard Christian leaders pontificate on and on about revelation and the end time. Nothing ever settle well in my soul because NOTHING ever came to fruition. “The end” seemed heavily focused on American and its allies while ignoring the rest of the world. “Revelation for the rest of us” makes much more clear symbolic & current conditions of the church using babalyon as its example.
How do we witness inside of a godless world? Revelation gives us that answer according to this book. None of it is simple. It’s incredibly complicated. But Finally! I can see our role much more clearly now and how we are to continue to be like Christ with no personal nor political compromise.

Historia
While God certainly cares for your deepest needs, Skye Jethani wants you to know that prayer is so much more than a two-way transaction with a heavenly vending machine. Jesus didn’t pray like that. And with a pastor’s heart, Skye wants to take you deeper into what Jesus, the lover of your soul, had to say about talking with God.

At first I thought nah

And then I remembered this is written by someone in the family. The most surprising part for me is how many people follow this obviously unstable human being.
