Historia
When the body of a bookseller is discovered, collapsed in a pool of blood in his Bristolian bookshop, it is immediately clear that he has been murdered. What is unclear is how someone could have met such a violent end in this quiet, peaceful place. DS Cross is adept at dismissing red-herrings but a worrying development in his personal life has left him hopelessly distracted, leaving his usual means of deciphering evidence challenged.

Tim Sullivan & DS Cross = 5 stars!
Revisado: 01-29-25
I’ve read (listened) to all of the DS Cross series, and the Bookseller was a great read. Unraveling the mystery of Ed Squires death is easy for George but family health issues threaten disruption of his neatly ordered life. Fab as always!

She’s currently on a remote island protecting mega-bestselling author Rosie D’Antonio, until a dead body and a bag of money mean trouble in paradise. Fabulous!
Revisado: 09-25-24
Clever, witty, and twisty. I love Nicola Walker (Unforgotten on PBS) and she did a fantastic job narrating this mystery. Believably ruthless and deadpan funny.

Historia
Meet Augustus Berrycloth-Young—fop, flaneur, and Englishman abroad—as he chronicles the Jazz Age from his perch atop the city that never sleeps. That is, until his old friend Thomas Nightingale arrives, pursuing a rather mysterious affair concerning an old saxophone—which will take Gussie from his warm bed, to the cold shores of Long Island, and down to the jazz clubs where music, magic, and madness haunt the shadows . . .
