Historia
More than 60 percent of young people who went to church as teens drop out after high school. This is a striking and alarming statistic. Now the bestselling author of unChristian trains his researcher's eye on these young believers. Where Kinnaman's first book unChristian showed the world what outsiders aged 16–29 think of Christianity, You Lost Me shows why younger Christians, ages 16–29, are leaving the church and rethinking their faith. Kinneaman offers suggestions on how to help young people develop and maintain a vibrant faith....

Thought provoking and challenging
Revisado: 03-06-25
As a young christian who has stopped going to church, this book really resonated with me and made me feel seen. It gave in detail the reasons people like me leave, and constructive criticism to the church and christians on how to change for the better, and welcome outcasts and free thinkers.

Historia
When Ruby’s grandmother, Miss Eula goes to visit her new grandbaby in Hawaii, Ruby is sure that she will have a lonely, empty, horrible summer without her in boring old Halleluia, Mississippi. What happens instead? She makes a new friend, saves the school play, writes plenty of letters to her favorite (and only) grandmother...and finally learns to stop blaming herself for her grandfather’s death. Not too bad, for a nine-year-old.

The story is great but the narration is borderline unbearable

The story is great but the narration is borderline unbearable

I love this story. The characters, the setting, the conflict. But why, oh why did they choose the narrator they did? The accent is so incredibly distracting. I get it takes place in the country, but even at the most dramatic moment in the story it's hard to keep from laughing because everyone sounds like a hillbilly stereotype.
