Historia
Evan Smoak is a highly trained former government assassin who has survived for years by keeping his circle to a few trusted confidants and a strict code he calls “The Ten Commandments.” But when Evan suddenly finds himself at odds with his oldest friend, all the rules he lives by shatter—and the consequences are murderous. Tommy Stojack might be Evan's best friend in the world. He’s a gifted gunsmith who has created much of Evan's own weapons and combat gear. But now, he has apparently crossed one of Evan's hardest lines and their argument explodes into open warfare.

Tommy Tommy Tommy
Revisado: 03-27-25
Since I had been waiting anxiously for this book to arrive, I had a good idea what it was about, but I didn’t expect it to be so much about Tommy! I loved his soliloquy about the flag! More Americans should take heed to his words.
This was Mr. Hurwitz’s most poignant Orphan book so far. Can’t wait to see what Evan does next!

Great Story - Until the End
Revisado: 02-06-25
The psychologist and lieutenant are at it again. They embark on another “who done it” which I love to follow down their twisty turny road until we get lost and drive in circles at the end. Maybe it was because I was sick and had a difficult time following near the end, but I’m still perplexed. I don’t even remember the mention of the murderer in the book! And before I knew it - the book was over! Huh?

Historia
1992. All across the United States respectable, upstanding citizens are showing up dead. These deaths could be accidents, and they don’t appear to be connected—until a fatal fall from a high-floor window attracts some unexpected attention. That attention comes from the secretary of defense. All of a sudden he wants an interagency task force to investigate. And he wants Jack Reacher as the army’s representative. If Reacher gets a result, great. If not, he’s a convenient fall guy.

Imagine my surprise to be taken back to 1992! I loved all the twists and turns in this Reacher book. It kept me guessing until the end! Andrew added another layer to the story and action! Can’t wait to listen it another Reacher written by this duo!

The Grey Man is today’s James Bond. Just when you think he’s beat, he manages to escape! I love the action, complexity and adventure of agent 6.

Historia
Someone is stalking the UCLA Medical Center - a depraved madman who is preying upon the staff, particularly those who are young and female. No stranger to the terrible ravages of senseless violence, E.R. Chief Dr. David Spier must keep the emergency room running smoothly and efficiently, even as his terrified co-workers wonder who will be the next victim. But when the monster himself is dragged into the E.R. in handcuffs - hideously burned, suffering, and begging for mercy - the nightmare is far from over. It has only just begun.

Hurwitz is Simply the Best
Revisado: 08-20-24
As an Orphan X fan, I decided to try another one of Hurwitz’s books. Of course it was excellent! He kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire novel. And, of course, Scott Brick was an expert orator, as usual. Now on to his Tower of Terror.

Too Political!
Revisado: 07-22-24
As long as Carl Hiassen makes fun of the opposite political party and their sorry excuse for a president in his next book, I’ll keep reading him. I read this book during an assignation attempt and a candidate dropping out of the race. Interesting timing! Turn about is fair play!

Kept My Interest
Revisado: 02-06-24
I haven’t read Lisa Gray in quite a while. She writes a captivating mystery. Although I usually enjoy more action, she kept my interest with all of the twists and turns in her novel. I think I’ll listen to another one of her books.
