Historia
A gospel, as ancient and authentic as any of the gospels that the Christian bible contains, was buried deep in the Egyptian desert after an edict was sent out in the 4th century to have all copies of it destroyed. Fortunately, some rebel monks were wise enough to refuse - and thanks to their disobedience and spiritual bravery, we have several manuscripts of the only gospel that was written in the name of a woman: The Gospel of Mary Magdalene.

Outrageous
Revisado: 08-15-22
I have been with Audible for Years. I read more than the average person. I was very disappointed in this Book because, I never expected a Political rant. I never expected to purchase a book called MARY MAGDALENE and listen to a Women share her point of 'view."
I purchased my first order of Audible Books, after I suffered a Cerebral Brain Hemorrhage.
I only purchase books, so they take me "away" from present day. I use my Books to unwind.
I am appalled of yor choice of placing the name of Mary Magdalene to her few Chapters and Verses. Hearing and reading the title and a few excerpts, called MARY MAGDALENE, gave me the desire to purchase this Book.
In all honesty, the Author was outstanding and the Narrator (whom I believe was the Author)
read well. Although, if I wanted to hear her rant, I wouldn't listen to it during Bedtime. This is MY TIME, to unwind from this crazy World. it's not "Audible's" time to be "Woke."
Let me know if this is your call to decide what I, me, myself shall listen too. It's not your choice. "It is mine."

I read it years ago, but I was always waiting for the next book. I was in the struggle with her last Company battle and was so disappointed, I could never finish the series. I was glad to start over again and am looking forward to the last book.

This novel of awesome beauty and power is a moving saga about people, relationships, and the boundaries of love. Through Jean M. Auel’s magnificent storytelling we are taken back to the dawn of modern humans, and with a girl named Ayla we are swept up in the harsh and beautiful Ice Age world they shared with the ones who called themselves the Clan of the Cave Bear.

It was interesting to see the evolution of Man. The Man's mentality hasn't progressed, much further from this portion of Human Existence. The Narrator was ok. the voice changes from male and female were similar, but then again, she did a great job at trying to distinguish them.
I read this book Year's ago. I was hooked during the Author's struggle with her Publisher. I loved reading it, but it took 20+ years for the final book to come out. Unfortunately, it was to long to wait to hear the rest. I don't believe she settled my thirst for the last book; even though it was still good.

Historia
Young Hiram Walker was born into bondage. When his mother was sold away, Hiram was robbed of all memory of her - but was gifted with a mysterious power. Years later, when Hiram almost drowns in a river, that same power saves his life. This brush with death births an urgency in Hiram and a daring scheme: to escape from the only home he’s ever known. So begins an unexpected journey that takes Hiram from the corrupt grandeur of Virginia’s proud plantations to desperate guerrilla cells in the wilderness, from the coffin of the South to dangerously idealistic movements in the North.

OUTSTANDING
Revisado: 08-09-21
The Narrator of this book is beyond great. It touched every human, emotion possible. I am proud to be a real history buff. And, always knew of the Underground Railroad. This excellent book, brought the American history lesson to life. People of all Colors were affected, during this crisis of our growth in America. God Bless the Devoted People who were involved, by showing their courage, compassion and strength. The wonderful People in this story showed what True American Heroes, went through.

Historia
"The Frog Prince" : in the tale, a spoiled princess reluctantly befriends the Frog Prince (meeting him after dropping a gold ball into a pond), who magically transforms into a handsome prince. Although in modern versions the transformation is invariably triggered by the princess kissing the frog, in the original Grimm version of the story is a a little bit different.

ENJOYABLE. LISTEN.
Revisado: 03-24-21
The Narrator was a joy to listen, but I felt the book was lacking. I'm sorry about it but it was a constant and unfulfilling story line. I felt the interest would come , but it seemed the discussion of the dyes used were more prominent than the characters.
