Historia
Star football player Jace Rovers has a secret. And not just any secret—a shocking secret.... He writes romance. The kind with swords. And dresses. And kissing. Nobody knows. Not the other kids at Twin River High. Not his overbearing parents. And certainly not the millions of fans who've read his book on the writing platform Scribbles. And that's the way he plans to keep it. Except suddenly one of the other football players grabs his notebook in jest and starts reading a kissing scene out loud...and Jace knows he's busted.

Strongly recommend the ebook instead
Revisado: 11-16-24
The first chapter female narrator was okay… she wasn’t that great, but the story was cute. But then it switched the male narrator and immediately pulled me out of the story. I’d rather listen to Jim Dale say Hermione on repeat. 😬 I struggled through this as long as I could but ultimately ended up switching to the ebook.

Anticlimactic
Revisado: 04-10-24
So, I originally got this book due to screenshot I saw of the dedication. It said “This book is dedicated to those who think Jess was Rory’s best boyfriend. The rest of you are wrong.” The Rory & Jess fan in me had to read it when I saw that. I was let down though- it wasn’t at all as good as I hoped. The main character finds out that she has a newborn sister and her estranged mother wants her to take custody of her. The baby she names Willow (yes, her mother wanted her to choose her name too) is born with health problems and she’s told the only way she will be able to get custody of her is if she shares her apartment with a complete stranger also seeking custody of someone for the next five months. Some new program they are doing. Her new roommate is Warren, and he’s trying to get custody of his 15 year old brother. The majority of the book feels like it mostly focuses on the doctors appointments and feedings and so on and less about the romance. Yes, they have moments. She brings a date home and Warren scares him off of course but instead of getting together, they decide to be just friends until the 5 months is up so they don’t risk either of them losing the chance of gaining custody of their siblings. It feels like this is the shortest part of the whole plot. It doesn’t take them long to give in at all and the last part of the book starts with their first date.. Finally, right? You figured they’d get together, something would go wrong, then they’d work it out by the end but nope. It’s a boring lead up to them getting together, and when they finally do… we expect some hot yet romantic sex right? Nah. Their first time is him demanding she sit on his face first. Not even joking. She even asks him to… I don’t think I’m allowed to say that word on here so I’ll sub it… duck her. Their first time is something out of a porno. It was so anticlimactic. (Well, not for the main character I guess as she climaxed twice. 😂) I don’t mind a spicy scene at all, but this just lacked romance & the feeling of a first time for two people who have been longing for each other for months. Felt more like an awkward tinder hookup. That wasn’t the ending though. Warren gets angry and punches a hole in the wall because he finds out his brother has been secretly talking to their dead beat dad & plans on moving in with him. Chloe tells him he needs to leave and cool off & of course he has to be dramatic & assume she meant they were over. She goes out looking for him because his phone is off, finds him at a hotel, they make up, blah blah. It was just a little too unrealistic. Then the epilogue. Fast forward in time a little & they are at her sisters birthday party, and she announces that she adopted her. She adopted… her own sister… her sister… is now her daughter… it’s weird to be honest. Oh, and they also get engaged in this tiny epilogue. The writing had me hooked at the start, but the plot starts to get slow & boring. The ending is, again, anticlimactic. I never even had any Jess & Rory vibes which was the entire reason I wanted to read this.
The narrator did a great job though, even when voicing Warren.

Absolutely loved it
Revisado: 11-02-23
I really loved this audio show. It was nice having some of the originals back. I do hope they make another one, and have Buffy involved. Buffy and Spike should have been end game, maybe this show could take care of that. The comics were ignored a little here, but since it took place in an alternate universe, it wasn’t that noticeable. I loved Willow & Tara in the original show, but I’d LOVE if Willow & Oz were reunited & had babies together. Hint, hint. Ugh, please just make another
one, we need it. 😂

Ah. So. The narrator did just fine. A little slow, had to bump up the speed a little higher than usual, but fine. I wasn't really a fan of the world building though.

December 1943. When Zachary Flynn suggested that he and Amity Belmont enlist together, he never dreamed the recruiters would reject him because of his flat feet. Now, Amity’s off fighting the war, and he could kick himself for letting his bruised ego get in the way of telling her his true feelings. If he had, maybe Lilac’s well-meaning matchmakers wouldn’t be trying to hustle him under the mistletoe with someone other than Amity.

Not disappointed
Revisado: 03-08-23
All I want is for Oz & Willow to just get married already. I’ve been waiting since they split up on the show. I loved her & Tara, but I’ve always felt her and Oz were end game. Did this book give me that? No. Was i disappointed? No. Why? Because the author has been doing an amazing job at bringing this world back to life. Hopefully we will get some of Dawn & Xanders daughter in any possible future installments.

Love as always
Revisado: 03-05-23
I honestly feel like It Ends With Us should have been the ending of their story- I feel like they should have ended up together then. However… I still enjoyed getting to know more of their story together, even if it meant having to listen/read more with Ryle. The last book made you like Ryle, and then turned him into an abusive jerk. This book does not change your opinion on him, but he’s still around, making her life hell. I loved being able to watch Lilly & Atlas find each other again, I do still feel like it would have been better if all of this had happened in book 1, but it was enjoyable all the same.
