Historia
As the daughter of a drug dealer, Wavy knows not to trust people, not even her own parents. It's safer to keep her mouth shut and stay out of sight. Struggling to raise her little brother, Donal, eight-year-old Wavy is the only responsible adult around. Obsessed with the constellations, she finds peace in the starry night sky above the fields behind her house until one night her stargazing causes an accident. After witnessing his motorcycle wreck, she forms an unusual friendship with one of her father's thugs, Kellen, a tattooed ex-con with a heart of gold.

The chief astrologer of Tibet had been summoned to proclaim the horoscope of six-year-old Lobsang, son of Lord and Lady Rampa. It was the "Hardest life he had ever encountered", the old man said. The boy was going to learn all the medical arts of Tibet and then journey to China to study medicine in the Western style. He would know immense suffering and dreadful hardship, travel in many countries, and be unjustly imprisoned. But above all, the boy's lonely destiny would be to carry out a great task of utmost importance to all humanity - and evil forces would work against him.

Oh this monk is a white man and plumber
Revisado: 07-21-19
I was amazed at this first book, so much so I was ready to sign onto Lobsang’s whole treasure trove of 19 books only to read in this book that the media slanders him and that while he is truest the soul of a Tibetan monk he is in the body of a suicidal white plumber. I gave up at that part and looked online about TLR and the reviews are in, -LIAR-!!! Complete waste of time and money

Historia
T. Lobsang Rampa was preordained to be a Tibetan priest, a sign from the stars that could not be ignored. When he left his wealthy home to enter the monastery, his heart was filled with trepidation, with only a slight knowledge of the rigorous spiritual training and physical ordeal that awaited him. This is his story, a hauntingly beautiful and deeply inspiring journey of awakening within Chakpori Lamasery, the temple of Tibetan medicine.

This sounded too good to be true! Oh it was :(
Revisado: 07-21-19
Yetis, alien, powers of clairvoyance/invibility/levitation AWESOME! He will tell you over and over again that the horrible media will spread lies about him, oh yeah you mean the “lie” that there is no recorded Tibetan monk named Tuesday Lobsang, the lie that the author “monk” is a white plumber from the UK. You learn that fact in the following book because after this book comes out people then find out who really wrote this POS

Not a fan of NR writing
Revisado: 02-02-17
Second book I've downloaded of hers and the second time I've been regretful of that choice. Her writing style is simple and unemotional. If you want some great story lines with dynamic character archs I prefer Colleen Hoover, I've been searching for runners up to her and NR is not it.

Historia
High adventure and dark mystery combine in a sparkling historical romance, by Jodi Taylor writing as Isabella Barclay from The Chronicles of St. Mary's. Bascombe, widowed and tied to an impoverished estate, has learned to ask little of life. With no hope of leaving, the years have passed her by. Lord Ryde, exiled abroad after a scandal, has returned to strip his estate and make a new start in America.

Typical period piece noting a strong female protagonist and a gruff male antagonist sedate English love story with little heart wrenching passion or drama. I was hoping for more.

I don't know how anyone can read this book
Revisado: 01-11-13
I purchased this book based on the reviews, I have to admit I only could give this book one hour of my time before giving up all hope of salvation from the boredom that is Quicksilver. It was high filutin and unpalatable, hoping for the romance of art and culture of the Baroque period it was peppered with philosophy and scientific discoveries that should have proved intriguing but coupled with the narration left me with a flat disappointed feeling. Boring.
