Historia
Aerial performer Zita has dedicated ten years of her life to one thing and one thing alone: vengeance. Armed with an iron blade, she must take to the silks and give the performance of a lifetime to kill the notorious Prince of Monsters—the fae prince responsible for her sister's death. But when Zita's plan fails, she finds herself imprisoned and sentenced to be the prince's "pet" as punishment for her crime. With cruelty as sharp as his claws, Sepher is everything Zita expected from her enemy. Yet he's also patient and obsessive, particularly when it comes to his "pet's" punishment.

Horrible Male Voice
Revisado: 01-01-24
The story is fine, but would be WAY easier to get into the story if the narrator had ever heard a man speak. The narrator does a terrible job of impersonating a man. The text will say something like, "his voice, deep and sensual" and the narrator gargles her words sounding more like a troll than a fake prince. This is a book to read. I don't reccomend the audio.

Historia
Gold. Gold floors, gold walls, gold furniture, gold clothes. In Highbell, in the castle built into the frozen mountains, everything is made of gold. Even me. King Midas rescued me. Dug me out of the slums and placed me on a pedestal. I’m called his precious. His favored. I’m the woman he Gold-Touched to show everyone that I belong to him. To show how powerful he is. He gave me protection, and I gave him my heart. And even though I don’t leave the confines of the palace, I’m safe. Until war comes to the kingdom and a deal is struck.

nothing makes sense
Revisado: 03-27-23
I'm really confused, because everybody on BookTok raves about this series... This was an actually TERRIBLE book. Nothing happens for the first three quarters of the book and when the last quarter comes around, everything is smashed together, more characters are brought in, and things change (that I'm pretty sure the author thinks are "plot twists"), but make no sense to the story she was telling before. It's like she took four different books and put them together. If the author had severely condensed the first 3/4, started the last 1/4 sooner, AND continued from there... it might've been a worthwhile read.
ALSO, the fact that this was recommended for people who like Jennifer L. Armentrout is ABSURD. Armentrout has a hypnotic way of writing, incredible world-building, and gives true dark-romance fantasy. Gild is a far cry from any of those things.

Historia
Samantha Heather Mackey couldn't be more of an outsider in her small, highly selective MFA program at New England's Warren University. A scholarship student who prefers the company of her dark imagination to that of most people, she is utterly repelled by the rest of her fiction writing cohort—a clique of unbearably twee rich girls who call each other "Bunny", and seem to move and speak as one. But everything changes when Samantha receives an invitation to the Bunnies' fabled "Smut Salon"....

So weird, but in a good way.

I loved this book! It's creative, descriptive, and keeps you interested from start to finish. Bunny could be made into a wonderful horror film.
The only bad thing is that the narrator does a terrible impression of a Scottish accent in certain parts and it kept pulling me out of the story.
