Historia
Since she was nine years old, Alina Dziak knew she would marry her best friend, Tomasz. Now 15 and engaged, Alina is unconcerned by reports of Nazi soldiers at the Polish border, believing her neighbors that they pose no real threat, and dreams instead of the day Tomasz returns from college in Warsaw so they can be married. But little by little, injustice by brutal injustice, the Nazi occupation takes hold, and Alina’s tiny rural village, its families, are divided by fear and hate. Then, as the fabric of their lives is slowly picked apart, Tomasz disappears.

One of the best books I have read in years . I was not going to read this book because of so many WWll books .
I’m so glad I decided to read this as it ended being one of the best stories I have ever read . I listen mainly at night so the downfall was lots of lost sleep because you just don’t want to put it down

Someone is trying to keep American supplies from reaching British shores, and if Bell doesn’t crack the conspiracy in time, the Atlantic Ocean will run red with blood.

A friend told me to listen to this book and I am so glad I did .
For me this is one of the best books I have ever read and was actually sad when it ended . For anyone to have succeeded like Tara given her family circumstances is truly amazing .

I have never been so disappointed with Patterson

What disappointed you about Cross My Heart?
The ending was quite absurd. The book itself was quite interesting and held my attention till the very end. The point is that there was no ending just an absurd editorial.

Neither

Very poor narration.
Revisado: 07-14-12
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I had always enjoyed books written by Clancy but when you listen to one the narrator becomes as important as the author. I listened to one hour of this book and will never listen to the rest. It was like listening to a computerized voice !!
Would you be willing to try another book from Tom Clancy? Why or why not?
Not if it had the same narrator
What didn???t you like about John MacDonald???s performance?
It was listening to a robot

A good listen
Revisado: 01-01-10
This was quite an interesting adventure with some insight as to the technological advances the Nazis had. This was one of the first Ken Follett books I have read. I would have rated it much higher if it were not for the time he takes to describe each and every movement of a character. I really don't care if the main character's tea is lukewarm or hot or if he likes it with sugar. As for the narrator "John Lee" fantastic. John Lee puts you in the action and develops each character into their own unique personality. Overall I would recommend the book to whose who like espionage and adventure. I guess I will be reading more of Follett's novels. At least I wont order as many books from Audible as they take quite a while to finish.
