Love it
Revisado: 12-15-22
This story was so sweet. It developed in a wonderful way. He was definitely not the guys' favorite person on the surface, but he was a good friend. It didn't come to light until this one. Some have stated they didn't like it when they went months between them seeing each other, I thought it was appropriate with the type of person Tom was. You can also tell how much he developed over time regarding his relationship with Basil...and the books.
I won't ruin the ending, but it was emotional in a good way. It gave me "the feels" in such a sweet way.
It started sweetly, and ended sweetly...not sappy, but sweet.
There was some heat.
This was better than the second and third book of the series.

Meh
Revisado: 09-28-22
I know it's a trilogy, but to be honest, you're not missing anything if you skipped this book.
There really isn't much closure for any of them...like in the future.. no big deal. That did not influence my rating. The other two novellas followed their themes. This one had about 2 minutes of rhe point of it. Like what liked, craved, and desperately wanted. The other two were good. Thia one is meh.
I loved the narrator. Carmen Rose is one of my favorites. I purchased the three because of her narration, to be honest. She made the story bearable.

She knows nothing about being a wife, nothing about how to run a household, and definitely nothing about the marriage bed. From the moment Ross MacKay sets eyes on Annabel, he is taken with his shy, sweet bride...and the fact that she's blessed with lush curves only makes him utter his own prayers of thanks. But when an enemy endangers her life, he'll move the Highlands themselves to save her.

In my Repeated Tittle List
Revisado: 08-27-22
I love this audiobbook. it's sweet and adorable. if I can't find anything specific I'm in the mood to hear, or just need a break from reality, this is one of my very few escapist novels. I cannot say how many times I've listened to it. Mary Jane Wells is one of, if not, my favorite narrator.
The book is sweet, though you do know exactly what they're doing on their "not bedding bed." It's almost a "how to" handbook in that way. Ross is amazing. His men, especially the old ones are hysterical. They also know how to insult someone while making it sound like they're not.
The only thing which kind of annoyed me was that the story was a span of one week or maybe ten days. The entire series is like that. However, the rest all have murders and such, all solved within days, and couple already married, and madly in love. This is the same but no murders. Different narrator as well. So, I only kept this one.
I'll definitely keep rereading this if I don't want something too heavy, or trying to avoid humans.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

impactful
Revisado: 08-21-22
To say this book impacted me is like saying being shot is catching a bullet.. it is stunning how hard this book hits. As the title states it seems this books goal isn't to ensure you hate her mom, but understand why the author does. Every so often i would think it's far to harsh to think let alone say this. However her feelings are absolutely justified.. I've never thought I'd say this but some people do deserve cancer. The authors mom did, a horrible abuser who used her cancer not as a humbling moment, but a weapon a shield an exude, and worst of all black mail. Blaming your child for your cancer might be one of the worst things one can say or do, but for this monster, it was one of her least evil actions. In the end i have to agree .. I'm glad she's dead to.. now to call my mom and tell her what a great mom she is .. feels mandatory...

Oh Gawd
Revisado: 03-09-22
Not too bad. Happy it was on sale and not a full credit.
I will say it was a relief to not have a lot of exhausting miscommunication, misunderstanding, or deception between the H and h. Her maid and his "Jack of all trades" was giggle worthy. I felt bad for her mom...in a way...never did like his mom. I don't care about the "why," I would never want to be friends with her or anyone in her circle.
I did get a little emotionally involved at one.point...until I wasn't.
The ending was too eye-rollng for me. You normally don't get that from a JL novel. I usually like hers a lot.
Not a fan of the narration. His voice was grating. She didn't do a bad job for Gabe or Robert though.

Cute and funny, but part of the series?
Revisado: 02-18-22
First, I thought the story was funny and sweet. Emmeline was a trip. She was definitely not shy about her plans. It might be a re-read once or twice.
My only issue is with how it fits in the series. it doesn't. Perfect as a stand alone. The main character in tur next book is in this one, but not very integral to the plot, to be honest. While you get a little information about him, you'll actually learn the important stuff in his story.
You never hear about this couple again except in one innocuous scene in the next book.
if you're interested to read the series...which I've re-read so many times...skip this one. The next four are awesome. Then, it takes a weird turn, and I couldn't finish the series...not even the wrap up novel.
Again, cute read, not important to the series.

Revisado: 09-03-21
He was perfect for her with his strength. She was perfect for him with her optimism..
George was perfect too.
As always, Mary Jane Wells is perfect too.
Unusual as it sounds, this is my favorite of the books. In a series,, I hardly ever like the books as much as the first. Looking forward to Nicola's story.
This book is one of my go-to's when I want to listen to one of my favorites ❤

If only there could be zero stars.
Revisado: 07-17-21
**SPOILERS because they need to be told. and readers forewarned!**
The firstl story was cute and sweet. But, all the costumes. Really? All they needed to fix their marriage was an open conversation. Instead, dress ups and role playing. Not sure how they actually resolved anything when he played a character in a role play scenario.
The second story was horrible!!! He was an a**h**e, first degree. He claimed he loved her. but she was cold to him, so within six months of marriage, he started cheating on her...still "loving" her, and wishing she'd open up to him...six years later. She got scared on her wedding night, and was afraid to try again. So, he just said "Oh well," and started having affairs after affairs. The only reason they were there together is because she was talked into going to prevent him from starting it. He sort of forced her to have sex with him, and she thought it was awesome. So, he couldn't have done that six years ago?? Oh, and he was so happy it was her instead of someone else. In the end, all is awesome...no matter that he just spent six years cheating on her. I'd be cold too, or maybe he'd be dead, if this was my situation. Alas, all ends well, and she no longer has trust issues.
Third story? it was obvious bad things had happened to her in the past since she spent most of it self sabotaging everything. They had freaky kinds of sex...and then...it ends on everyone finding out she was sexually assaulted for years by her uncle, who conveniently shows up there. Seriously, the lady in charge of everything let him in the house?
So, that's where it ends...on that kind of note.
Oh. The narrator made the women sound like they're five years old. So, more creep factor there.
Ugh. I would have tolerated the book more if it hadn't ended on a revelation of the one woman being raped by her uncle when she was very young.

All Four Found Love
Revisado: 07-03-21
**No Spoilers **
I'm happy to see how everything finally concluded, even the gossip rag. I never thought Charlie's appearance was the same as described in the first novel. So, that threw me.
The narrator? If one who doesn't make the 22 year old girls sound like 70 year old women, or the men sound like they have perpetual colds, is found, and changes this book, please let me know. The first was wonderful. I wasn't a fan of the second narrator until this one. Now, I wish she had narrated this one. I'm sure she fits in other genres, but she did not fit this series at all. I kept having to rewind to figure who said what because it was hard to distinguish who was actually speaking. The only reason I could tell who two of the girls were is because one is Scottish, and the other stutters a little. Both of the other girls sound the same. Hamish...bcs he's Scottish. Otherwise, no difference. Max's mom was a bit different, but since she was probably in her 70s, and was quite uppity, she was easy to distinguish.
I cannot listen to it again if the narrator doesn't change. Again, she is probably a good fit for other things, but not for this series.
