Historia
It's 2526. It has been almost a year since humanity engaged in its destructive first contact with a theocratic military alliance of alien races known as the Covenant. Now, the hostilities have led to open war, and the United Nations Space Command understands virtually nothing about its new enemy. The UNSC’s only hope lies with the Spartans: enhanced super-soldiers trained from childhood via a clandestine black-ops project to be living weapons. But not everyone wants the Spartans to succeed.

Feels like the good ‘ol days
Revisado: 10-26-18
It’s been a long time since we’ve gotten a Halo story of this quality. Silent Storm takes us back to the beginning of the Human-Covenant War, and I couldn’t be happier with that direction. Several memorable characters make a return here, and some interesting new faces are introduced as well. As for the narration, I thought that it was very well done overall. Scott Brick’s various character voices do indeed sound pretty similar to eachother, but I still find his performance to be quite enjoyable.

A Pleasant Surprise
Revisado: 01-15-18
Where does Catalyst (Star Wars) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I certainly wouldn't say that this is my favorite Star Wars audiobook, but I definitely did enjoy this one and would recommend it to others as it provides a good background for the events and some characters of Rogue One
Who was your favorite character and why?
Orson Krennic. I really felt that, in the movie, Krennic had potential as a villain but really needed to be fleshed out more. This book does a pretty good job of giving him a background and motivation, and I thought that Jonathon Davis did a good job narrating his lines.
What about Jonathan Davis’s performance did you like?
As usual, Jonathon Davis does a great job giving different characters their own distinct voices
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"Catalyst: The Prequel Book to a Prequel Movie"
Any additional comments?
If you're looking for an audiobook with a lot of action (or any, really) then this audiobook probably isn't for you. But I would highly recommend it otherwise.

Historia
One of the most cunning and merciless officers of the First Order, Captain Phasma commands the favor of her superiors, the respect of her peers, and the terror of her enemies. But for all her renown, Phasma remains as virtually unknown as the impassive expression on her gleaming chrome helmet. Now, an adversary is bent on unearthing her mysterious origins - and exposing a secret she guards as zealously and ruthlessly as she serves her masters.

A pleasant surprise
Revisado: 09-24-17
I'm not a huge fan of the new star wars "Canon" storyline, so I was pretty wary when getting this audiobook. As the title of this review says though, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It does a great job with giving Phasma a fleshed out backstory and it gives us a reason to actually care about her character at all. January Levoy once again does a great job voice acting all of the characters, and the author was able to get some really good character development here. My only real gripe about this audio book is that the music that plays in the background here and there can come out of nowhere and just feel out of place in some scenes.

Historia
Al Franken, Giant of the Senate is a book about an unlikely campaign that had an even more improbable ending: the closest outcome in history and an unprecedented eight-month recount saga, which is pretty funny in retrospect. It's a book about what happens when the nation's foremost progressive satirist gets a chance to serve in the United States Senate and, defying the low expectations of the pundit class, actually turns out to be good at it.

All Franken: Best Senator Ever
Revisado: 09-16-17
This book manages to be both humorous and very informative at the same time. The content is presented in a way that is easy to understand and Franken himself does a great job narrating it.
