This has been one of my favorite books that Robin McKinley has ever written. any author that can make a math book into a lovable character is amazing. I hope she continues to make such good works and I am excited to finally see this book as an audiobook.

The voice of the narrator is nice they do wonderful inflections and each character has their own voice which makes it easy to follow and fun to listen to.

Love the authors voice as the narrator!

Loved how this story pulls you along. I'm with other reviewers though, the brother-sister relationship (even if they aren't blood related) was too obscure for me. I kept feeling it was incest, even though it wasn't.

I really wish Choo had just focused on the two of them having a platonic familial bond that fell apart then became repaired in the end. I would have enjoyed this so much more.

Creepy how this predicts Trump!

I do love Stephen King and had to read this when I heard the politician in the story was a ringer for Trump. On that level, yes, I had to keep reminding myself that King wrote this year's ago! WAY before the Trump nightmare.

I loved Franco's narration. He was great! Would listen to more narrated by him.

I do have one complaint about the story. I felt this one was a bit of a wandering plot. Which would have been fine, but the romantic side seemed pointless in the end, and the overall ending fell flat for me.

Premise was good but fell short for me :(

The premise pulled me in and I can imagine this kind of story is difficult to write, but honestly I just didn't enjoy this book as much as I'd hoped.

I love reading stories in this genre with a unique angle. I can't decide if the main character unto herself, or the narration execution was grating. Maybe both. I feel she was whiny and immature for someone in this high stress professional position.

I did enjoy the supporting cast more than the main, so perhaps it wasn't merely the narration.

The plot itself caused me to stretch my willing suspension of disbelief quite a bit at times. How long she holds her breath. The "special task force" that the governor just arbitrarily and whimsically puts into place...

Honestly, I likely won't read another book by this author, but glad to see others liked it.

It can get slow in parts but stick it out! It's so worth it! All of the side stories are in there for a reason and he ties up everything so beautifully I cried.

I adored this book! It made me laugh and cry. This book gave me every thing I could have wanted from a sequel to her first in the series. I hope she writes more, as I truly love these books!
